"Horrible just Horrible". He was a great player but all full of himself and as opinionated as a fat ass mother in law. Once he became an announcer he killed us. IMO

Here is a name most people will scream no to at first glance, but that could be a good fit. Tyson Chandler. If we aren't able to swing deandre Jordan, or Roy hibbert, I'd look long and hard at Chandler and what it might take. He is currently 32, plays better d and rebounds better than Lopez. Also shoots a high fg% because he dunks quite a bit. Can you imagine lillard driving to the hoop, chandlers man sagging off the help close off lillard, and lillard throwing it up for a jam toChandler? Deandre Jordan would do the same for this team and is younger. But Chandler shot 72% from ft land too, so not really hack a shaq going on there.

I'd imagine Chandler wouldn't cost that much. Fair market value would probably be7-8 million per year.

Also, Chandler seems to not back down fromanyone. It appears he is ready to throwdown and fight if needed at any second. Could give us some toughness

Well, I did hear DeAndre had interest in playing for Dallas. If that happened, Chandler would need a new home.

There is no fucking way Lopez will get 14-15 mil per. That is absolutely ridiculous!

I love Tyson Chandler. Is he too old now though?

He played well this year, and will be turning 33 in October. but if you signed him for two years, I think he can still play at a high starter level for those two years.

Another under the radar thing with this, is that Chandler and Leonard have somewhat similar body styles. Perhaps Chandler could mentor him a little more on playing defense and positioning.

By the time Chandler would be done playing at a starter level, keep him as a backup and let Leonard take over

I honestly believe DeAndre could be in play this summer. Before DJ took off this season Olshey was shopping Batum and trying to get Jordan. Neil was a big believer in him when he was with LAC and has wanted him for a while. If LAC loses in the first round, are they really going to spend 5 years/$120-30M to lock him up as part of the core for a team with an aging CP3 and a group that gotten to the WCF yet in CP3's 4 years there?

I really think we have a small chance at DeAndre too since he's one of Neil's guys.

I think a S&T involving Batum/players is a real possibility. The SF position is a weakness and they lack any depth beyond their starting five. Would you do Batum/Meyers/filler for DeAndre?

Jordan is a moron. I don't like his atrocious ft % because that takes him off the court in the fourth quarter.

The fact that he says he would love to play for Dallas when his team is one game away from elimination is all I need to know.

Is he a good player? Sure, he fits the team well with his defense and ability to jam, but I'm a little iffy because of his comments ans ft%

Giving up Meyers before we know what is going to happen with LMA would be tough (who would have thought that would be the case a few months back). But if we were able to get DeAndre, you would have to think LMA would come back. The problem is we would have a hole as SF after that and would have to fill it with the MLE, right? I would do that on the condition we knew LMA would stay.

Maybe we could draft Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to come in day one and start to lock down the other team's best player.

Any team giving Jordan max will later regret it. He is too "one dimensional" and he gives Hack-A-Shaq an entirely new meaning. The dude hit free throws at an alarming %. 39.7% in the regular season and 36.7% in the post season!

You could start afflalo at sf and go smaller I guess. But I don't want to give up meyers for a big that can't play in the fourth quarter.

Id rather try to make a deal for hibbert, or go the Tyson Chandler route if available.

Even in college, Meyers was a decent passer. Where he's best is pinpoint outlets from defensive rebounds. I've only seen him do it a few times, but he's thrown perfect passes every time doing that, to the point where I'd want him inbounding the ball at the end of a tight game.

I honestly think we would get the most "bang for our buck" with Hibbert, and quite possibly have enough to still keep Lopez. Hubert could be a real "game changer" for this team, especially with Aldridge and Leonard being the PF combo. If we cannot keep Lopez, then Hibbert, Aldridge, Leonard and Freeland is pretty formidable. Maybe draft another 7' this summer to develop behind them.
