He's not even a good player! I mean fuck, if it's his hand, then stop shooting so much. He was terrible on offense all series, and average at best on defense.
Calm down. Lillard is what? 24? He's our guy that can become a superstar. Aldridge is a perennial all-star, not a superstar
LA is another Zbo type. If he goes to the right system that doesn't depend on him, he can thrive. Build your offense on the dude and you will stink.
I can understand his shots not falling with the hand, but his defense and rebounding were very shitty tonight.
Based on the difference in his FG% and the FG% of who he was guarding, he's actually been the best defensive player in the NBA for these playoffs.
27 FG% with a career average under 50% in the playoffs. In Portland he's the pillar, on a title team he's a 2nd/3rd option.
It's funny though, if he does leave Portland you know he will end up winning a ring elsewhere. It's going to happen. And yes, as a first option.
Only if he changes his game, as in, turning into a primarily low-post scorer. That's not going to happen.
He's got to be bumped down the pecking order. I'm only good with resigning LA if we let Rolo and Wes go and trade Batum. If we bring the same flawed roster back with a diminished Wes, we waste another year.
Zach Randolph changed his game. He learned to play defense. The concept that a player can't improve is ridiculous.
This is interesting and everything, guys, but how do I ask out the cute dental hygienist without coming off as a creep and not being able to show my face at the dentist again out of shame?
I think Aldridge can raise his game when he wants to. But no, I don't think he's a superstar. Still, he's the best player we have.
