His max salary will finally expire next month so he will no longer be on the payroll. Anyone know what he has been up to the last few years? After the Dallas series I thought he might be able to find a niche as a 15mpg backup for key situations every other game but instead he tried to return as a full time starter with the wolves and of course that didn't work.

It would be really cool seeing him at training camp even if he doesn't make a comeback.

Sign Adam Morrison again and have them be captains at Fanfest.

Wanna know what bothers me about Roy? The city embraced him, backed him and fell in love with him. The only time he came back and watched a game was to see his good friend "Crawford" play.

I know it was time to move on, get away from basketball and shit, but then why go to Minny and try and play? I used to be such a B-Roy fan boy. I would have fought anyone that talked badly about him, but I turned the page on this guy just as he turned the page on us.

He is no longer a Blazer because he left our city. He could have been a hero if he just retired and moved on from basketball. Probably would have had his number on the rafters.

I doubt we will ever see Roy being a Blazer mentioned in the same sentence ever again.

I feel the same way man. I do cut him some slack though considering how hard his fall from grace must have been for the guy.

I think when Roy is in his mid to late 30s he will pop his head into Portland again. I don't know him but if I were him I wouldn't want to watch, touch or play basketball for a very long time.

This is probably some bs, but on some other forum some guy said he saw Roy in a wheelchair, maybe that's why he's so reclusive now?

No way! He could easily get knee replacement surgery and at least walk on them. I think the only reason he may not is because he would most likely never be able to do stress related activities on them. He would still be able to walk though

I wonder how Brandon Roy really feels about the Blazers organization. I'm sure he loves the fan, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is some contempt towards the organization.

I don't understand how any Blazer fan can dislike Brandon Roy after everything he did for this city and the Blazers.

I bet there is some bad blood between him and LA. He can't hate Allen because the man has payed him nearly 100 mil to stay at home.

Roy's only loyalty was to himself, his family and his fat stacks. He played the Blazers in the press and fleeced them for a max contract knowing his wheels were coming off. I'll give him credit for wanting to compete and play and win. But if anyone thinks he gives two shits about the Blazers or us fans I might have some waterfront property to sell you.

Roy did a couple of things that didn't settle well here. Day before training camp he said he never felt better, then a couple of days later when his knees gave out, said he'd have to quit basketball if he wanted to walk and be active with his son. Before you know it, he's back at the Wolves trying to make a comeback. He took the money and shuffled off into the sunset. The Blazers offered him a position in the organization in a non player role and he's been to 1 Blazer game since. He was Nate's guy and when Nate got fired, he disappeared from Portland. I've lost all the BRoy nostagia I used to have
