That is exactly what my wife said. Now she used to be a street racer, and has run av (race) gas and squeeze......she's all about the torque on launch and the stick of the back end in a turn. Before I bought my Z we went test driving and the sales guy took her out for a spin in an old abandoned parking lot that used to be a mall...nice size. Her phone was connected to the cars in cabin Bluetooth....she made that poor guy scream when she tried to make the rear slide. No dice, car pulls a G in a turn, lol! I didn't get to drive that day, had to go to another dealership. Fun day.

    GTR is my next toy.

    Ah nothing like a Mustang.......

1st one, bought in 71, was a 69 Hi-Performance Test Model, with a .390 bored out, .004, with (get this) 2 each 4 barrel Hollies; 9 mpg., Highway.....

had its std., fuel pump on the tank, then 4 additional electric fuel pumps, to feed the beast. 500 HP, and could knock down anything, including Shelby Mustang Cobra's, and Vette's less the 74, 454, with 4 on the Floor.

The entire chassis, was not the norm for the 69s, the front end, back end, humungous posi-trak, and enough sway suspension, to make it a glide thru corners......

Last one, was a 95 GT......yet those are old dogs by now.........tho' it was still fun as hell to do 120mph+, with my Brother in tow. (His badge a deterrent for tickets)...

Got to deal with CARB laws.....OEM only. I'd love to put a twin Turbo or Supercharger on my Z, but can't pass the sniffer.

So its either the GTR, 911 or M4/M6. GTR's paddle shifter should take all 0-60.

Ah, to be honest, I wasn't even taking Emissions into account. NTM-street legality sniffers......LMAO......

I bet you've frothed at the bit a few times by now, over not being able to put twin turbos on your Z. Always loved the Z's, Porsche Killers.......some of the Audi's are nice too. Yet, I wouldn't buy a German Vehicle, if they sold me one at half price.

Servicing with all German Cars, is fkn ridiculous in costs. But then when a vehicle's computerized systems, go on the fritz, so does one's bank account......

Besides, there's still plenty of American Car Muscle Power, right here, that can easily whip any German car, less the Veyron's.

Pagani has always been a favorite of mine, is just as fast as a Veyron, (damn near, handles better in corners also). Altho' the 014 McClaren GTR utterly blows my mind.........

The Pagani Zonda R- 860,000 quid, or conversion to US $$ approximately 1.25 MIL. 760 HP, top speeds in excess of 220-mph.......

    Pagani-Zonda-R.jpg

Or- the McClaren GTR, a concept car, with a hefty price tag of $1.5 MIL $$$. 800 HP, relentless torque, top speeds also 220 mph +

which brings me, to say, I once saw Leno on The BBCA Top Gear Show, when he spoke of taking an old Torino, and having the engine rebuilt with a 1,000 mph - (fk that these are not engines, rather rockets).........

With Willow Springs but 20+ miles away, what a life it would be to go fast enough to get air borne then some, if only these had wings.....

I have not been on that track since the late 70s. A helluva great track at that.....

In the meantime, I'll only continue to dream........of faster ways, I mean days....

I know, and neither is the McClaren GTR aka F1..........

thus the mention of Willow Springs Race Track............

anyone here watch Top Gear BBCA, 2014, where they made it into this fkn desert, just a mile north of my home, then, as they drove down a musical road, plays the William Tell Overture, by different dimensions and assortments of lines in the concrete, creating the tune......

On their way to Willow Springs.......

I know. I was expressing how sad I was about it not being sold in the US. The sad-face emoticon didn't show up for some reason.

^^^^^^ oh there are if you know the right places. I also spent a week in Germany last month....the Autobahn is real, no limit besides the floor under the gas pedal.
