The guys on MSG are 100% right. No doubt the Caps have a lot of pressure now. Just like us last season against Montreal when I felt game 6 was our game 7, I believe game 6 will be the Caps game 7. We need one f'ing road win to make this real interesting. Best road team in NHL...show it in game 6.
The disallowed goal, was a good call. Yeah their was contact, but the contact was both ways. Ward turned around and put his arms, and body all over Hank. Referee was right there, and had to make the call
Tonight the Caps got to play with no pressure. In game six most of the pressure it still on the Rangers but Washington will have some urgency as well.
They still don't inspire alot of confidence but if they can't feed off that there's not much you can do.
Give Fast some credit there as well. Excellent play by him in OT to setup the winning goal. Great to see. Fast is a solid little player. Nothing special at all, but solid.
It will be another nail biter 2:1 game. These teams cant score if their lives depended on it. Also Ovie has done absolutely nothing since game 2. Maybe his magical run is over.
I don't agree Mess. I think the pressure is on the Caps. We were down 3-1 and not expected to win this series anymore. The Caps don't want any part of game 7 back in NY. They have the pressure no doubt IMO. I am consistent on this. I felt we had all the pressure on us in game 6 against Montreal last season as well. How I view these things. Some will disagree, and that's cool, but that's my opinion.
Are you trying to jinx things Step? Ovie hasn't done anything. Magical run over for him. We haven't lost an OT game. SSSHHHHHH....
Agree to disagree 31...all good. I 100% believe the pressure is on the Caps in game 6. Like I said that's how I view these things, and did last year with us also. To each their own.
Washington has blocked a lot of shots and have done a great job getting their sticks in shooting lanes. Holtby has been outstanding for them because when you watch these games you really think the Rangers should have four or five goals. Yes, I have to give Washington credit but in the end both teams have seven goals in this series. They're up 3-2 but it's an even series.
In that instance it was actually a smart move by Stepan not to shoot the puck into two Washington defenders.
