Since Goodell was spanked with the Ray Rice issue he had to be severe in any case he handles. I am a Ravens fan and Ray was my favorite player. He too was squeeky clean but his domestic problem inflated into a full blown national dilemma. Brady has even more star power than Ray once had and although his misconduct revolves around the game, the Commisioner has little choice but to Preserve the Integrity of the Game. The first two games the Pats will not have Brady. Since this was a situation with Brady and two equiptment managers the fine will be centered on these three and not the team. Those managers will be fined then Kraft will fire them. Brady is too imporant in terms of player and legend status. With our luck, as AFL conference fans the Pats will probably win the Brady-less games.
If that piece of shit in Baltimore (AKA Ray Rice) originally got 4 games & was reduced to two for beating up his girlfriend, then Brady needs to get at least the same. JMO.

This isn't off field activities, this was flaunting the integrity of the game and the playoffs to boot. I say they make an example of him with 8 games, reducing it to 4 when he publicly admits his wrong doing. Belicheck gets the Sean Payton 1 year for the same reasons, not reduction.
I'm hoping for a full year, but will settle for 8 games... Anything less is a slap in the face to the integrity of the game

Big difference between baseball and football and that's called integrity. Football has zero. Brady should get 4-6 games for essentially spitting on the integrity of the game and then laughing at it when it first came into question. he still hasn't come clean. And, Belichick should NOT get a pass here, though I think he will.
...^^^ yeah, from what little I've heard, Coach B isn't implicated as a result of the "investigation"... but you're right, Brady played the "deny deny deny" card which may influence how much of a suspension he'll get and will no doubt tarnish his image and legacy. ...win, lose, or draw, no matter how many games he is suspended, it will be a hot topic for awhile.
I'm thinking (as I said earlier) 2-4 games & perhaps a draft pick, but I'm hoping for more like 6-8 games. He's such a smug little bastard.
Just announced..... Brady got 4 games, Pats lose 2016 1st round pick, 2017 4th round pick, & fined $1M.... I'm sorry, but yet again, Brady & the Patriots get off easy.... Very easy... They should've lost 3 1st round picks, had a cap penalty in which their salary cap was lowered by the price of Brady's contract AND Brady suspended a minimum of 8 games plus post season games...
