http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2015/05/20/samsung-galaxy-s6-bad-sales/ 70 million. Earlier this year that was the number of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones Samsung claimed it would sell in 2015. Samsung also claimed to have taken 20M pre-orders prior to both phones’ release. Sadly one month on the reality looks disastrously different… Korean news agency Yonhap reports that it has taken a month for sales of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to reach 10M. Speaking to Yonhap a ‘high-ranking Samsung official’ confirmed this figure for the first time. Trying to put a positive spin on it the official said: “The sales of the Galaxy S6 series have already surpassed 10 million.” The Full Horror But in reality this is desperately disappointing. While the official didn’t name the exact date the 10M mark was passed, it would leave Samsung just seven months to sell the remaining 60M units – an average of 8.6M units per month. Given the launch month always represents the biggest sales for any phone, this is an entirely unrealistic rate to maintain. Especially with the impending arrival of other flagships later in the year – including potential cannibalisation from the Galaxy Note 5 – and the September arrival of the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
The galaxy s6 edge is the best phone ever made. It's absolutely gorgeous in every way. People are just gonna get tired of renewing phones every year. Shit gets expensive
Actually, the iPhone 6 kicked its ass, sales-wise. http://money.cnn.com/2015/04/27/technology/apple-earnings/ Booming iPhone 6 sales fuel Apple's second-best quarter ever
Only because Apple finally stepped into the 2010's by selling a phone with a larger screen and a few other features that had already been out for a few years. Of course all the people who only buy iPhones would pick one up. I have an iPhone. It has some nice features that I didn't have on my Samsung, but overall I don't see what the big deal is. These things used to just be a phone and now they're an extension of our lives. It's kinda sad.
But I see articles like this frequently. So it's not just iPhone users upgrading. http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/android-ios-market-share-europe-news/ Apple converts many Android users to iOS with larger iPhones in Europe and China
We have the entire wealth of human knowledge in our pockets. I usually just use mine to sext and watch porn.
New meaning to the words, "is that the entire wealth of human knowledge in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"
Just because something outsold something else doesn't make it better. The iPhone 6 sucks. My wife has one and I hate it. I don't even own a galaxy s6 edge, a buddy does. Everything about it is amazing. The Microsoft zune was a million times better than the iPod. But the iPod sold way more and is still standing today.
I converted to Apple, not because I was unhappy with Samsung, but because I just wanted to see what the big deal was and I got the phone for $100. I like the method that Apple uses to close programs on my phone, and I like the charger, but overall it's not like it wows me. So if I had a choice on my next phone, I would probably go with whatever I felt was the best deal on the best phone. Whether that's Apple, Samsung, or whatever.
Phones now are just incrementally better. Apples sell well because, well people are sheep. I just switched to t-mobile and they have unsubsidized phones, so if I wanted a proper Galaxy s6 edge, it'd cost me like $800. Fucking rip. If I wanted an iPhone6s it'd cost a little more than that.
I opted not to watch it. If you give me the premise of a movie, and the premise alone sounds completely horrible, I will most likely avoid it.
Just got the s6 over the iPhone and I really like it so far. But then again I've been kinda anti iPhone because I always hear about them breaking or crapping out in one way or another.
ha ha The Iphone smashed them. Personally, the old flip phone was the best. At least you could dial if you were in the sun..Bottom line is that all those carrier bastards take a chunk of your freaking mortgage payment and ride the rich world
I got the iPhone 6 plus. First iPhone I've ever owned. I would've stuck with Samsung if Apple hadn't finally made a big phone. It seems like they have too many galaxy though; I swear they release a new one less than every year. Eventually people get burned out and decide they don't need the newest features. Androids were far cheaper than iPhones years ago but now prices are nearly the same.
