The Yankees made Cano, Seattle & that contract will most likely break him.

    Yep, you got it Michael.......

Just to think, had Cano of humbled his ass, pulled his head out of it, when he was sniveling the Yanx were showing him no love, and to think IF he'd of stayed in NY, IMO; I can't help but think Cano would of wound up in the HOF, but kiss that and His ass goodbye..........

Speaking of which when watching "Quick Pitch" this AM it doesn't look like that 240 kept him from dogging to first. Tanka stuck it up the Mariners Whoops a Daisy last night.

I noticed that last night also. Help I've seen Prince Fielder run harder to first on ground balls.

This is what happens when you hire an agent that doesn't know shit about baseball.

Now wait Matt's.....Bora's didn't ruin the game, he was just very good at playing the negotiating game and create value for his client. The owners paid the prices because they couldn't get caught in collusion activities anymore. And we'll never know what happened in all those meetings, because owners and GMs likely did a lot of his work for him.

I think there is a huge difference between the Boras type agents and Jay-Z.

    Yep, agree.

But Jay-Z DID manage to "help" Cano get 250 million.
Have to admit it's kinda hard to turn down a guaranteed 10 year - 250 mil contract.

I think the Yanks knew they were in the wrong spot at the wrong time with Cano's free agency and were just hoping against hope another team wouldn't overwhelm him with an offer.

Oops, excuse me- correction, it's 240 not 250 million for ten years.

Still quite enough for him to waive bye bye to the Yanks.

Honestly Steve I think he pretty much flushed his HOF career down the john as soon as he left NY. He looks completely lost at the plate.

He picked his own poison, and probably may of flushed a HOF career down the Puget Sound........in the process, distancing himself from contract talks in the Bronx........so yeah, FK Cano..........

...^^^yeah, Robbie could have easily gone down as the greatest Yankee 2Bman ever, had a spot reserved in Monument Park and been a legit HOF candidate, had his number retired, and probably would have made just as much money (total) if he had stayed.
...but now he's probably thinking to himself, "Damn, I still got 9 more years of this shit"?
