They need to do anything short of trading away Dame to get him. LMA would definitely be back if they could pull it off. LMA, Dame, and DMC, how's that for a big three?

I'm afraid that LA and cousins wouldn't mesh well. Leonard and cousins stylistically is better but whatevs, pipe dreams

How could we get cousins? Batum, our pick and what else? Mccollum? Leonard?

they need a starting SG, but they'd probably plug Nic there. I think they'd want Leonard and would draft Cauley-Stein.

    Collison/Batum/Gay/Leonard/Cauley-Stein
That's the tallest lineup in the league, and also the most athletic. I could see them developing that lineup, or even trying to get Rondo to play with that group because Leonard and WCS are perfect for him in the pick n roll and pick n pop.

After reading that article, their No. 6 seems like it's in play as well. Batum for No. 6 would make sense for both sides and I'd love it even more if Winslow was on the board at that slot.

I don't know if character wise he fits into what they are trying to do. But if you know you are about to lose LA who is one of the best at his position, Cousins would be a nice replacement and maybe making a move for him should be taken seriously.

Doesn't that phrase imply negative connotations?

I would love to be the team Cousins gets it together for. I would hate to be the team his career self destructs on. I just have no idea what Cousins is going to do for the remainder of his career...I think its at least worth consideration.

That being said it is not going to happen.

Figure out a 3 way that lands us boogie for LA.

Take in Gays salary if needed.

If we turn Nic and LA for Boogie and Gay, i call that a winning offseason. Ive been on the Cousins bandwagon for too long. This needs to happen!

Rudy Gay is on the block.

    Gross.

He and Josh Smith are cut from the same mold - they don't play winning basketball.

Boston and Denver have jumped into the DMC sweepstakes.

    Here's the Woj shitstirring article.

Obviously we can't trade Aldridge for Cousins, but if you want to make up scenarios, you should work out a third team that Aldridge might actually want to go to, and that doesn't have the cap space to sign him outright. That's right: you can't do that either.

You might be able to do Lillard for Cousins, or perhaps Lillard AND Leonard for him. Then re-sign LaMarcus and you'd have two players who've said publicly they want somebody else to play center.

(Having said that, the Kings are pretty much the only team that Rondo fits with, so if they can get an exciting PG without giving up anything, Lillard might not tempt them.)

Why are you so hellbent on trading Lillard?

The point is to get Dame and Demarcus on the same team here. Plus, Meyers and Boogie would make an amazing duo.

I would trade anybody other than Meyers to get Cousins. C'mon, Neil - make dreams come true!!!

Are you sure Leonard said that? I prefer him at PF but I heard him say on courtside a couple of weeks ago that he did not want to be labeled as a stretch 4. He is working on his inside game so he can play both PF and center. He does not seem to be shying away from the center spot from what I heard.

It's going to be literally impossible to S&T Aldridge for Cousins.

    This.

Ya'll are smoking something fierce if you think it's even a slightly realistic possibility.

    Did you read this?

Aldridge has to be OK with wherever you're sending him. The hypothetical 3rd team would also have to be OVER the cap AND willing to trade a way good assets/players. Now why the hell would Aldridge agree to the trade if that 3rd team drops a bunch of their assets (and presumably, good players) to get him?
