What say you, is this trade a sign that we're trying to clear cap space to bring in another star OR is this a sign that LA isn't coming back and we're hitting the reset button?

I think LA's tweet a month or so about surrounding yourself with people that work harder than you every day--could explain the Batum trade if LA stays?

Yep. I think LMA approved this move and wants us to get Hibbert or someone like that.

I could see Charlotte taking Henderson and Kaman for Hibbert

    PG Lillard / Blake
    SG ??? / CJ
    SF ??? / ???
    PF LMA / Vonleh
    C Hibbert / Leonard

We'd have $16Mish to find a starting SG, Two SF's, and a backup PG. I'm missing something

Although I hope Hibbert was really just pouting these last couple of years after Indiana matched the contract.

I don't see LA leaving, so IMO, it's a sign they are trying to add a 3rd star to be legit contenders

I'm wondering if maybe Henderson/#23 are going somewhere. Get that extra money off the books. It's pretty obvious that Vonleh was the real target.

That's what I think too. This would probably mean Lopez is gone as well.

maybe trade henderson/23 for nuggets 7th pick. use that on mario hezonja or stanley johnson. let robin go. resign LA (max) and Wes (10). sign roy hibbert (10) and aaron brooks (1mil)

If I was frustrated as a fan with Batum. Just how much more was his teammates?

I don't think this signals at all that they are blowing it up. I think their chances are better now that he stays. Just my opinion.

I think LA wanted him gone... Also Wesleys expressed desired role in the interview is essentially the role Nic has been playing.
