@ESPNSteinLine: ESPN's LaMarcus Aldridge latest: Batum trade only latest signal of Aldridge's likely departure and sources say Lakers are moving up his list.

The Lakers can pay for a lot of rumors..it's one of their favorite tools in free agency.

For a quite and shy guy, the lights and media attention in LA is not what LMA is looking for. This is sports agent banter to get Olshey riled up and do something stupid.

PS - how can 2 max players co-exist? Kobe can't exist without the ball and LA will become an offensive rebound PF at best. This is just the rumor mill churning...

@ESPNSteinLine: ESPN sources say Lakers appear to be passing Dallas on list of likely destinations for Aldridge should he leave POR. San Antonio still No. 1

So far, we have Stein saying that sources close to Stein are Lakers fans...

Nice. Stein covered all his bases with that one. I wonder who's 12th on the list.

I could've added this to the FA thread but I wanted the title to freak El Prez out.

Kobe has one season left in him. Even if LaMarcus were to come to LA, it would be one season to share the spot light before you're the man.

As a Lakers fan, I don't see him coming here though. He's a Texas boy, I think he ends up in SA or DAL.

Funny how this afternoon Ramona Shelburne who also works for ESPN and based in LA , said the Lakers were running 3rd behind Portland and SA. (Ahead of Dallas)

I thought Stein was a beat writer for the Mavs when he started out

And I'm reading Laker fans also want Cousins in addition to LMA... How does that work? Can only play 3 players and 12 d-leaguers and expect to win.

If Lamarcus went to the Lakers he'd feel like an ignored guy on the allstar team every game

Not if they land Cousins...they won't land both, IMO. And they are pretty serious about DeMarcus probably because they think they don't have a shot at LA.
