I would do it at this point. If we renounced everyone except Aldridge, did a sign and trade with San Antonio for Green, and signed Love outright, I wonder if that would work under the cap? Love at max is 20 million a year, right? We could do a sign-and-trade with San Antonio where Green gets 12-13 million a year and we absorb the rest into our cap?
I would rather build with Leonard and Vonleh. Love's biggest strength is his outside shooting. Leonard can do that. Not as well but he can do it. I would rather go after a SF. I know we can't get Kawhi or Draymond Green but I would offer the max to both to make sure SA and GS has to match. If SA goes after LMA, can we offer Kawhi a front loaded contract?
And I'm okay with that. There's still a chance if Vonleh or Legend turn into a two way star, but yeah it's unlikely.
Yeah I don't see this as well. If not Cleveland, it's going to be Los Angeles. It really sucks that Lakers are in the driver's seat because they have Aldridge or Love as possibles with Boogie as the main trading partner
Jody Genessy @DJJazzyJody There continue to be rumblings about how the Jazz want to — and can — re-acquire Paul Millsap and might trade Derrick Favors, per my source. 8:22 AM - 25 Jun 2015 I'd take Favors as an LMA replacement
Jake Fischer @JakeLFischer 27m27 minutes ago More on Portland: From multiple league sources, Blazers have internally discussed options to acquire Kristaps Porzinigs since his ASM proday
I think you'll be surprised when it happens. And then all the fluff pieces will hit about how Love wanted to return to Portland all along.
A buddy of mine who played ball in high school against love says they know mutual people and that He has heard the Love is home sick... grain of salt.
IF the Blazers actually offer him a max contract (and they will have the ability to), I really believe that Love would seriously consider it.
Would you be excited if this chain of events happen? 1.) Cleveland trades Thompson and filler for Aldridge. 2.) Portland signs Love Gia free agency?
