Dame needs to start working the league. I wonder who his friends are from other teams.
We need him to sell Portland as a young team who could be elite in a few years if "they" signed. And I would start at the SF spot. It is crucial we find an elite SF.

In the short run, we may not fill the hole at all. If the team is going to do a full rebuild, why spend the resources?

Houston wants in on the fun and you know they will strip their team to do so.
They have three SF's :Brewer, Ariza, and Papanikolaou.
Plus they have Motiejunas and Jones..........

Would you trade with the devil? Brewer,(or Ariza) Motiejunas, Jones and # 18? #32?
Fuck it. I would consider it.

Bottom line is if they really want to be a player for LMA, they should talk to Neil about who they draft. It will be key

I'd LOVE to trade LMA to HOU! Harden won't lead a team to a championship, Howard won't, and LMA won't - that's a team with a bunch of mental midgets taking up way too much cap space!

That would be fun to see for a few minutes a game. I would love for that to be true. Maybe with CJ and Dame in the game at the same time. Less need for a SF to handle the ball. Can he move quick enough laterally to pull it off on D. Obviously it would depend on the match up.

To be honest, I'm not sure what his weight is like since joining the NBA. He could easily guard the 3-5 positions. He is huge, long, quick and a great leaper. Offensively is wehre the issues would be - not a great ballhander and needs more work on his shot to do it on that side of the ball. Also, you lose him as a rim protector and rebounder - two of his strongest points.

It's not something I'd truly pine for.

At this point just draft RHJ or Justin Anderson and start all the young guys.

I think both of those guys are gone by our pick. Maybe Looney though? Your 2015-16 Blazers!

    Lillard
    Henderson
    Looney
    Love
    Leonard

The L Squad! Bring a whole new meaning to losing games! ;)

I don't have the aversion to Love that most here have, so I wouldn't mind watching him and Leonard chuck threes all game long.

It's a great narrative too, betrayed by the evil LMA, the great white hope, the local guy comes to save us!

You know if Leonard did take a step forward defensively we could be pretty good with Love paired with him. Honestly I hope we draft a Euro now (Osman so we can stash him another year or so if not he can come over its whatever... ) and sign an elite guy like Jimmy Butler (could happen... Chicago and him aren't seeing eye to eye). Finish it off with a good defense first PG like Calathes.. Waiving Kaman and renouncing all our free agents along with LA leaving... We'd have a ton of space to do this...

    Lillard / Calathes / Blake
    Henderson / CJ
    Butler / Crabbe / Osman
    Love / Vonleh
Leonard / Freeland (bring back cheap)

Not a terrible core to build around.
