According to some Brooklyn fans, it sounds like they are pissed and that we got a steal. They say their GM is an idiot for doing this trade lol.

Plumlee has said goodbye to Brooklyn on Twitter, but not hello to Portland. Take that with a grain of salt.

Same with Charlotte's fans in regard to the Batum trade and same with a lot of our fans. Everyone hates everything

I'm ok with the concept that Billy King is dumber than our GM, and that Hollins is not an agile-thinking coach. I don't know that you read too much into "Why did BKN give him up?!?!1!!", unless you follow that question up with the knowledge of this quote:
"We were happy giving up the lotto pick (top-3 protected) because there are only 3 guys in this draft."
    Meanwhile:
    Unibrow
    Dame
    MKG
    Drummond
    (World Champion) Harrison Effing Barnes
    Beal
    Ross
later....and, oh by the way, drafting (World Champion) Draymond Green for GSW...
But they used their own pick for Ilkan Karamon (bet Rasta doesn't even know who he is) and traded us for Tyrod Taylor.

So to recap, there was a 4-month period where Billy King basically traded away Damian Lillard and Draymond Green, traded FOR Gerald Wallace and Tyrod Taylor, and drafted Ilkan Karamon. Yeah, I'm not positive I'm worried about his player evaluation skills.

Let's get a time machine and go fuck with the us of a week ago. We'll say: "well, here's the bad news: the team is going to get completely blown up. But here's the good news: when draft day is over we're going to have TWO DUKE PLAYERS!"
The old us will think we mean Okafor and Winslow and get really excited, but (tee hee) actually it'll be Henderson and Plumlee! Won't that be hilarious?

It's funny: somebody must have told Olshey "leave 'em wanting more" because every time he does a trade we say "there's GOT to be more to this..."

    From April 8, 2014:

Thanks Neil, now for my birthday (July 1), please resign LaMarcus Adridge and get at least one, preferably two, needle movers with all that cap space.

Looks like he has a pretty good stroke from the line. Not sure why his percentage is so low.

Well, he did "improve" to .495 by the end of the season. Still pretty bad, but not quite Dudley or D'Andre awful. He also shot .626 from the line as a rookie. So, maybe there is hope he can pull a Przybilla and become a half way respectable FT shooter.

Plumlee = DeAndre Jordan minus the rebounding.

I assume this is a joke. For those that don't get it, that's like saying "Manute Bol without the height".

Wow, see what happens when you go to sleep? I wake up and our draft pick (who I kind of liked, loved his wacky outfit!) is gone, Blakie is gone (no big surprise) and Some Other Dude is a Blazer. I confess, I just don't pay that much attention to Eastern teams. What can you tell me about this Plumlee cat? BNM, you seem to be a fan.

You're right, should be an interesting few weeks.

Rasta is in the middle of an epic meltdown that has spanned 48 hours. What else can Neil do to piss you off?

Haha. It's been a long time coming.

Didn't we declare you can't use meltdown unless it's of PapaG proportions, though?

I'd say picking up Mason Plumlee for this year's #23 (plus gaining some cap space) was a darn good trade!

I just don't get the problem. Vonleh looks like a really nice pickup, and I'm on the fence about Plumlee because I was happy with RHJ. But honestly I could go either way.
