I am happy with getting rid of RoLo (He declined big time last season, at least it seemed like it). Plumlee works hard and hes younger. Like it.

Not sure about the other guy; but if LMA stays I think we have a more solid front court.

Hibbert was an All-Star. Everyone was in love with adding him a couple years ago. He has fallen on hard times. I think he needs a change of scenery. If we could get him for table scraps, then yes, I would do it.

And remember that Rolo looked like a meh type center until he was paired with Aldridge. As much flake as people give to Aldridge, he makes bigs much better around him. I could actually see Hibbert do a huge turn around in Portland.

frankly I think we could get him for capspace and nothing else, maybe trade Kaman and they can cut him. However I have serious reservations we would want him and perhaps can do more with his 15-16 mil contract for next year - I vote NO on him

Tough call. It comes down to LMA of course. Who plays best next to him. And it comes down to match ups. Which centers in the west are we concerned with stopping. Howard eats Rolo up, and I would assume Hibbert would be better at it. But for the most part I like centers now who can run the floor, and are quick leapers.

A platoon system that includes Plumlee would be nice. His video highlights are growing on me. As is his 36" vertical leap. But then again they are "highlights".

No question though if we lose LMA we need to keep Vonleh and Plumlee IMO

trading for him, using "table scraps", would be a horrific waste of cap space. Like, drafting Michael Olowakandi with the # 1 pick horrific.

Something happened off the court. Speculation, and there are many scenarios, is that he didn't get along with certain teammates. His play dropped to the point where he looked like he quit on his team.

    On a max deal.

Hibbert today is an easy pass.

Slow prodding centers are just not that valuable anymore in the modern NBA. As much as I appreciate Hibbert's defense (and RoLo's - they're cut from the same mold), I would be very hesitant on spending more than 10 million dollars on him. Guys with length and speed, even if they may not be the strongest post defenders, are who I would be looking to target. Guys like DeAndre Jordan and Rudy Gobert. Maybe Vonleh could be that guy.

The teammate issue was George slept with his girl friend. Also, Indiana had no shooters to space the floor.

It doesn't matter if we want Hibbert. It matters if Aldridge does (or doesn't).

What it seems to me we need at this point, since we (the fans) are looking for a max type all star type to add to the team, is a SF.

I suppose its right about that time of year where we like to say, "I know it will never happen but LBJ on this team sure would make a lot sense for both parties and we really should be attractive to him if he looked at it."

And although I saw a report this morning that he was going to wait for the Cavs to make their moves before he made a decision I cant imagine he would ever leave home again on top of risking the hit he would take PR-wise.

But like we usually say this time of year. "But its fun to imagine."

I just can't imagine LeBron leaving Cleveland again. They would hate him so much.

But the reality is, he would have a much better team coming to Portland. Dame, Matthews, Aldridge and LBJ with Plumlee, CJ, Leonard, and Noah? Who could beat us?

Bro, to max out another player that means Wes is gone. It means Rolo is gone. It means most of the team is gone.
