I really like Minny's draft. They didn't fuck it up with Towns and they got a Minnesota native who actually watched the draft in Minnesota (despite being invited to the green room) and who can start when Rubio inevitably goes down with an injury. I really like their team now. I would kill to swap their roster with ours. Sadly, I think the Lakers killed it. I was really hoping they'd go with Okafor, but they didn't. Russell will be awesome, and stands a good chance to be better than Lillard sooner rather than later. Also sadly: OKC did their usual great job, damn their oily hides. Cameron Payne is probably already better than Reggie Jackson and could be an All-Star down the line. They also got Dakari Johnson, who could be awesome, and will have more chance to play in the NBA than he did in Kentucky. The Bulls lucked out AGAIN. They do really well at the end of the first. The Nets did well - how did they manage to convince another team to give up RHJ? He'd be awesome for a team that just traded their starting SF and has no backup. Shame that team didn't end up with him. Miami may have done best of all, although people are torn on Winslow. But I also really liked Richaun Holmes Josh Richardson.
I think Miami made out like bandits. Other than Towns, the rest were second guesses. I honestly think Russell will come out as the best player in this draft.
If the Blazers retain Aldridge, I think Plumlee was a really good pickup. If he walks, and we don't replace him with a comparable player, then I think I would rather have kept RHJ.
Portland did pretty good. The youth looks nice now. Nards Plums Cj NV Crabz Project Pat With enough cap room to bring in 2 max guys. Tough stuff.
If you just watched the NCAA tournament you'd love Houston's draft. They got a couple of big name players in Harrell and Dekker. Not sure I like them, though. It's funny that Dekker is so like the player that just spurned them in free agency.
For all the rage I've spewed about Olshey, I can't deny that he had a safe draft. He got a player that you already know can play in the NBA in Plumlee. He's just not the kind of player that lights my fire. Plus he'll probably mean we'll lose my joint-fave-remaining Blazer, Lopez.
Actually, having just looked at that roster, I take that back. That's a lot of bad contracts left over from Kahn's reign of terror. But I like their top 4 or 5 players.
Why is everything bad "just a foregone conclusion"? RoLo loves Portland, Portland loves RoLo. Funny how bad things are not "foregone conclusions" for well-run franchises like San Antonio. This is like a Christian talking about evil - "it's your fault". Good - "thank God for his blessings!"
Rolo is gone because we need the cap space to sign a big name. I have no idea why you're bringing religion into this, but leave that shit to the OT forum. Don't need it in here.
Apparently Charlotte REALLY liked Frank Kaminsky: Actually I do too. But it's funny how much Michael Jordan likes white college stars.
Wolves - KAT and Tyus, I expect Rubio to be shopped. Knicks - Prizingis amd Hernangomez? It's like Phil reads S2.
RoLo is just your run of the mill center. Nothing special. Plumlee is pretty much the same but with more potential and will likely be 7-8mil cheaper.
