I'm sure Knicks don't want him. Give them some of our young guys. Lillard/Henderson/Melo/LA/MGasol Champions!!!
You know that Anthony is not a great businessman by the fact that he does not have his own candy bar. With a name like that I think you gotta have your own Hershey's bar.
Trade for him so he can pull out one of his old bag of tricks and demand a trade . . . which Denver did pretty well with so not a bad plan actually.
I don't know if I like the trio of him with LMA and Dame. Think I might rather target a Demarr Carroll or Danny Green and even giving them $13 million a year would be much less than Melo. If we strike out on free agents and have a ton of cap space; or LMA leaves; and the Knicks sign younger players maybe it becomes something to consider. Melo has a lot of holes in his game but he gets bashed so much he's now being underrated by many. I have a lot of trouble seeing Melo and his wife being happy in the city of roses though.
Melo would join the Nets before the Blazers..he's NY all the way and his wife doesn't want to live anywhere else. His NY perks are really what he seems to care about more than winning. He's also injury prone and not interested in defense. This is not a possibility in my view. If he left NY he'd want to go to Miami or. some place with a lot of nightlife and glamour. Just don't see it. Not a good fit.
But if LA wants another star to play with, who is that star? DeMarre Caroll (sp?) and Danny Green aren't stars.
No one said stars but us fans. I think Aldridge wants a team that can contend. A true third fiddle player would be choice. And yes, Danny Green or Carroll aren't true third fiddles. Menlo is and will always consider himself option 1. He is not a true option 1, IMO
