Did you watch the finals? When the Cavs didn't know what to do they gave it to JR and he went 1 on 5. He makes a LOT of bad decisions. Frankly, I'd rather start Crabbe. Hell, I'd rather start Goyle!

I'd offer Kaman for Taj Gibson in a heartbeat

Kaman would be a lot closer to his home and boat in Chicago

He's clutch. At least he was in the playoffs and finals.

    6MOY candidate at worst.

Both he and Wes shot about 3/7 from 3pt per game last season.

He's 6'6", too. Nice size next to Lillard.

If that's their best offer, they might do it.

He's also goat. Reminds me too much of Crawful but with character issues. Yes, he will win games, but he also will lose games as well. Which player do you get?

What's the story with Noah? Why is he available? Are they rebuilding? Is Noah injured?

I'm not a JR Smith fan at all. One trick pony and bad fit for team chemistry in my view

Olshey knows JR smith from his basketball camps. Just a tidbit.

I think it is safe to say that Chandler is the best of the 4 from the neck up. He has long had a rep as a guy other players like to play with. The elephant in the room is his age.

Plumlee and Gobert have some of the best rim protecting stats in the league and they're young...I'd love to have both

There is a better chance at getting LBJ than getting Hobert from Utah.

To re-sign Butler, the Bulls would have to pay luxury tax, oh no! They're too focused on profit for that. Not only paying the tax, but not getting the tax distribution from the league.

They're a $million or two over. Get them $4M, and they can sign Dunleavy and be under the LT.

They have 8 PF/C on the roster. Gasol, Noah, Taj, Mirotic, Portis, McDermott, Bairstow, and Mohammad. Rumor is both Noah and Taj are being shopped hard.

Noah on his bad knee was still really good. Just not every night. He may rehab it enough, but the cap hit is far less for Taj.

Taj can play both PF and C. I could see him starting alongside LMA, and playing next to Plumlee. He's a great shot blocker and can defend 3 positions, or all 5 in switches.

The difference in salary between the two gets you someone like Smith.

I would say he's the most untouchable player in Chicago. Even at max, he will be cheaper than anything. He's their most prized asset, IMO.

although most sports articles are not to be taken seriously..I read one that said Butler does not like the Bulls Front Office and would like a change of scenery

    Think profit.

They make more money with him on the roster at near the LT than without him.

Bulls don't have to revenue share jerseys and the like sold by the team in Chicago.

Plus, they don't want to kill the golden goose by alienating the fans.

Bulls are contenders for the financial championship only.

I meant salary wise, is there any way to construct something Chicago couldn't match?
