http://www.sbnation.com/2015/6/28/8...onroe-brandon-knight-tim-duncan-kevin-garnett I'd honestly prefer we sign him to that contract so that he can prove he fits.
I really dont' want Monroe. He can't replace LA and as bad as LA's team defense is Monroes is just as bad if not worse and his man on man D is nowhere near the same level.
A story below that says: If signing Green is going to be hard for them, even if Manu and Duncan take pay cuts, how can they possibly sign Aldridge?
I was kinda thinking the same thing. They still need bellinelli and green. Aren't their cap holds, just like we have to deal with?
I'm on board with Monroe. Hoping we can get him while keeping LMA. Yes he has issues with his game but he's still at an age players normally improve.
At first I was against this, but I'm on board now. The thing that sold me was his +PER playing center
They can keep Green fine if they keep the same roster but if they bring in LMA or another big free agent that's when they will have to let him go. It'd be sweet if we agreed to a deal with Green while their talking to LMA then LMA decides to come back here.
Monroe is underrated as hell, especially at center. There's a reason olshey has wanted him for two years now and it has nothing to do with aldridge' FA.
Monroe is an upgrade over rolo. An upgrade is good. Monroe, lma, Leonard, plumlee, Vonieh is a fantastic big rotation
It's kind of interesting to see a plan unfold. Not saying this will happen but I think the plan is to have our first and second units play similar so there isn't much change during a game. Monroe scores most his points around the basket and LA can space the court. Monroe also can pick and roll while LA picks and pops. Same thing with the backups. Plumlee scores most(all) his points around the basket, while Leonard spaces the court. Plumlee pick and roll, Leonard pick and pop. And of course the one thing all of them do at a high level; run.
Only because ___, lma, ____, ____, _____ is a fantastic big rotation. Monroe is a massive DOWNgrade from RoLo in rim protection (which is not as dirty as it sounds).
If Monroe's so fucking amazing, why are the Pistons letting him walk? For NOTHING? Like, not even TRYING to get him to stay?
