If they give us Russell too, I'll take it!

Julius Randle might turn out to be pretty good. His injury is the only concern for me.

Not enough and I'd rather get nothing than trade with the fucking Lakers. Fuck that franchise to the fucking ground.

I'd like one or more of you long time blazer fans to confirm this, but...

Historicially, big time FAs have stayed with their team because the $$ difference is so large. There have been exceptions, of course, young players who know they could recoup their losses down the line, LBJ in order to form a "superteam", Dwight to get away from Kobe, ...

However, players tend to re-sign with their own teams, or do a sign-and-trade. It's possible LMA just leaves, of course, but his agent would be giving up millions of $$ as well. I suspect that his agent told him to just tour all of these teams, decide which ones he wants, and that he'll make a sign and trade happen. That being said, if a sign and trade happens with the Lakers I don't see Olshey agreeing to it unless they give up Russell. I don't see a sign and trade with SA at all.

FWIW, I still have some optimism.

He apparently lost a lot of weight, also.

Hell, I'd take on their WHOLE team if we got D'Angelo and Randall. That'd be a helluva haul for Lamarcus in itself.

    Lillard/Russell/IDK/Randall/Vonleh

    yes please

I hear ya, but would you rather get nothing for LMA if he decides to leave?

As it stands, it sounds like the Lakers NEED a sign & trade to land both LMA & DeAndre, thus, I'd hold out for both Randall and Russell or else the Lakers...can't do it. They need us just as we need them, in this hypothetical scenario.

Otherwise, yes, typically players with the max do not leave.

Aldridge would never agree to that because the Lakers would suck with him and Kobe

Mayyyyybe. Maybe LMA would think, "now I'm going to be the featured player I always should have been, and in my current home town!"

If I'm LMA, I'd say to the Lakers.... "Kobe didn't give up anything, why should I? I want a sign and trade."

If Randle can switch to SF it'd make sense, especially with Vonleh on board. Apparently he has lost a lot of weight and worked exclusively on his outside shot. With his 8'9" reach, this is probably the best rout to take.

No I agree. If it was anyone else but the Lakers though, Randle might be worth a look.

In this scenario they want DeAndre as well.

So it'd be DeAndre, LMA, Kobe...

and IF LMA went the LA route, it would't be for titles IMO. That's what the Spurs are.

that is simply shortsighted emotional BS IMO, if he's leaving you get the best assets you can - if you can

The Lakers love Russell. They are not including him in any trade. Public opinion would crucify them.
