    And digging into it, nope, looks like rookie extension allows them to offer 25% of the cap, +7.5% each following year. So, I change my guess to "This is the first taste of crazy money under the 2016-2017 cap"

    So why are the Nets trying so hard to remain the 8th seed in the East? They're in that dreaded not good enough to compete but not bad enough to get any picks range, and they're walking right back into it by re-signing Lopez and Thad Young.
