Between backup PG and SG I bet CJ averages 32 mins a game next year. He is going to get all the minutes he can take.

    Joe Johnson: 14/5/4
    JJ Redick: 16/2/2
    CJ Miles: 14/3/1

    Wes (Before the Achilles): 16/4/2

I doubt he out produces them.

    Why?

Monroe is infinitely better than all of those players mentioned.

CJ McCollum will be getting a big chunk of PT at SG, if not more. Henderson is a good change of pace with his size and rim attack ability.

I find it especially interesting because people have been complaining about not having a SG that can create off the bounce and get the rack...which is exactly what Henderson is. Nothing special, but we don't need special with McCollum, most likely, playing 25+ minutes a game.

Sounds like a waste of cap space; meanwhile,

Monroe is a legitimate all star caliber player at center.

    Color me confused.

I'm sure they all had higher usage ratings than Matthews, as well. The game is more than stat mongering. Real plus/minus, not getting abused defensively, efficienCy all goes into production as well.

    And jj redick has cp3...

Look, I love Wes, but here I have to trust the Blazers. They know what he means to the team. However, they also know how he's recovering better than anyone. If they don't think he's our guy post-injury, then I have to be with them.

What a fucking shame, BTW. Why couldn't that injury happen to a complete a-hole instead?

Don't you mean Dorell Wright? I think Brandan re-signed with the Suns.

Wes is probably going to get abused defensively now. His efficiency wont be the same either.

You go for the known production.

JJ Redick has always been a great shooter, it's not just CP3.

We have too many players up front if we brought in LA and Monroe, I realize CJ is gonna get minutes but I think Henderson is gonna log minutes at the 3 too. We need a shooting guard who can shoot and/or create in the starting lineup next to Dame.

The center, not the PG. Again, Wright and not Knight. At that price it was a great move.

Curious why you advocated for CJ Miles and not Gerald Henderson?

Virtually identical numbers all across the board, except, CJ Miles has a higher USG% and Henderson has a significantly better ast% (which signifies he is actually a better creator than CJ Miles, whom you are advocating getting rid of Henderson for...makes no sense)

    Hendo 12/3/3 on 85%/44%/33
    Miles 14/3/1 on 80%/40%/34

    Same age, similar size...

I'm convinced some people have done very little research before judging Gerald Henderson...

We'd trade Kaman for cap space or a cheap SF.. then wed have Meyers and Plumlee off the bench.

Seriously though, Aldridge/Monroe/Leonard/Plumlee would be the best, most talented, most versatile grout of big men anywhere in the league. Plus you have an all star PG and two vet wings that can slash and lockdown on D and a 3rd year SG that's coming into his own. If Aldridge couldn't be sold on that...

I like Hendo and Miles. I'd love to have both. They're perfect wing players. They also can play together and with McCollum.

So you'd rather sign a bench player than an all star caliber center?

    Okay.

Greg Monroe is not an all star caliber player, not in the West. He isn't even in the east. He's a mediocre defender (Not terrible). I rather start Leonard or Plumlee with LA and spend money on wing depth and a backup PG.
