We're basically making all our competition in the west gut their rosters and send them to the east..then re-signing LA and steamrolling through the west
I thought Denail was a small village of goat farmers in Somalia

I'm pretty sure you can't have Kaman @5M, Aminu @7M, Davis @6M, LMA and Rolo.

Okay what if Aldridge is doing this while Olshey is picking up massive cheap talent in process?

no, he didn't. They helped decrease the cap from the Batum amount.

You know what? If that be the case, so be it. Trying to win by luring free agents to Portland like it seemed Olshey was attempting is extremely risky, because Portland just isn't the destination a lot of these players dream about. Teams like the Blazers typically are going to have to build through the draft or by making smart, low-cost acquisitions.

The Blazers have one star in Lillard and a player with star upside in Vonleh. If they wind up with a high lottery pick next year and make the right selection, they could have their three stars and wind up better off.

Can't remember which thread I started this thought, but min-value acquisitions to be had (like Ed Davis and Aminu last year) this year could include Jimmer, and screaming-from-the-mountaintops-when-traded-for-RoLo-as-a-toss-in Jeff Withey, Mike Muscala and James Michael MacAdoo. All UFAs

Davis, Aminu, Henderson, Plumlee....all guys who would be useful as supplements to Dame, LMA, and a healthy Wes.

Honestly, I think Ole' is still on plan "A". It is just the rest of reality that has moved on.

FYI, Aminu should be 7025761 (30/4.27) and Davis should be 6379585 (20/3.135).

They are good now... but they weren't viewed that way at the time. Back then Millsap wasn't considered a starter on most teams; Korver had been let go from both Utah and Chicago, and Teague only got one offer for $8 million in free agency.

The team can give them raises or declining amounts from year to year of 4.5%. The contracts usually aren't the same for each season.

Thats true but at the same time there have been Wesley Matthews level players available for value deals one year after the minimum that still end up being steals.
