    Note that players with ending contracts (including players whose contracts might end due to an option or ETO) cannot be traded after the trade deadline (players whose contracts are not ending can be traded after the last day of the team's season and before July 1 -- see question numbers100 and 103).

    Jeezus. I'm slammed at work, trying to get caught up, after being too caught up in the LaMarcus drama, so I, understandably I think, come to this thread to find out WTF is going on with LaMarcus, but now I'm wondering WTF is going on with this thread?

    BTW: Anyone know WTF is going on with LaMarcus?

    Hibbert just opted-in a few days ago and INDY is trying to trade him. Remember the 3 team proposed trade (3-team because GS doesn't want Hibbert but INDY does want Lee)? Why would any team try to trade for him (or why would INDY try to trade him out) if it was against rules? The answer is they wouldn't.

    He canceled his Knicks meeting, and decided to meet with the Lakers again to give them a chance to actually talk basketball with him. He's also meeting with Pat Riley tonight for dinner. Portland still can offer one more year and $30 million more than any other team.

    You're missing the "after the trade deadline" part. That specifically refers to the period of time between when a team's season ends and the league year ends.

    It's funny; they apparently really focused on the Hollywood stuff in the first meeting and he was unimpressed. So they're trying again with a basketball-focused meeting, which should be even more unimpressive.
