Yes. Mud wrestling with Aldridge and if they pin him, he re-signs. Why aren't you the GM?

Maybe 45 pages on how Frazier and Crabbe are the new Frazier and Monroe.

Whatever happens, I suspect Aldridge will be hated among many fans. He will get attention, that's for sure.

Yup, it's gonna be like when LeBron left Cleveland for Miami, but obviously on a smaller scale.

The significance of that picture BoiseBlazer posted a page back: it was Winslow signing for the Heat. That means he can't be traded now, for far longer than even this Aldridge Saga can drag out. In other words, they're not giving him up. In other words: fuck you Miami, you have nothing we want.

If he goes to the Spurs and replaces the best PF of all time I'm sure he'll get all the attention there as well, just not the type he expects.

    Meh...

I think he is getting a raw deal by the fans. This is not fun and games for him. He's looking for the best situation for himself. One exec said 'he has asked the best questions as a FA'

He's looking for the best situation for himself. Nothing wrong there.

If you're considering a new job in a different place the thing that stands out is who is your boss? I think in the end, the trust in GM owner and coach are the deal breakers. Teammates you can adapt to but front offices that give a shit about your needs are an asset that Portland has. This is LA's comfort zone. With the contract Portland offers, I think he'll sign here. Dame is great, but Lamarcus is the franchise player as of now. I think he's closer to Stotts and Olshey than he is to any teammates. We just have more to offer than any other team and only here will he cement a legacy for a franchise. If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on Portland.

I won't hate him. That would have only happened if he went to Lakers

Remember the Love trade. They can still complete the trade, but yeah, probably means no winslow to PDX as part of a S&T

Hard as it was, I've come to accept that LMA is leaving us.

But if he really cared about our franchise at all, even a little, the least he could do is ensure we don't lose him for nothing. He should demand that his new team give us compensation in the form of a draft pick (2nd rounders) or young player(s) or else he will sign with another team. I know he is an unrestricted free agent, so he doesn't have to do squat for us, and I know it's asking a lot and I know it won't likely happen, but it would be a wonderful token of appreciation/parting gift for the Blazers, if the franchise meant anything at all to him.

I just hate the fact that we are going to lose our most talented player for nothing but cap space. This type of thing only happens in Portland, it seems.

How can any true Blazer fan hate LA after the brutal burns he's given the Lakers? He should be our hero. He cares so much about the franchise he's even leaving before he becomes too much of a financial burden! Would that my parents acted the same way...
