Because things change! Christ on a crutch! Wesley's ankle exploded and the team folded like a cheap lawn chair. LaMarcus isn't a dumbfuck, he realized where things were headed and he made the rational decision to explore his options.

But if Dame flew down to LA and doesn't even meet with Aldridge it would not only be a bad sign, but complete disrespect by Aldridge.

I would be surprised if that happens because I don't peg Aldridge as that kind of person. However I will be glad to see him go if it turns out he is...

Assume, assume, assume. Till it comes from LA's mouth, it's all assuming.

Whatever the case, the phone thing was quoted by Dame. It's not looking too good bro

So dame was already there. Aldridge wouldn't meet him in person?!

Probably because LaMarcus has a conflicted internal emotional life like most normal people. This is as close to a big breakup as you can get between people who aren't actually sleeping with each other. I bet LA's a bit of a wreck. Seeing your gonna-be ex in the middle of the break up leads to bad emotions and bad decisions. It could lead to him burning a bridge he doesn't want to burn.

Or it could be because he can't move under his own power anymore because he weighs 1200 pounds.

In Aldridge's defense, he's probably completely booked . . . and honestly what is Damian going to be able to say to sway him? Even if LMA came back I'm not sure it's playoff team even with him on it, and it certainly isn't going to be able to compete with the Dubs for the foreseeable future.

Yeah...I was wrong about the shoe deal, he was there for the handicapped so I'm guessing they are worst enemies now....sheesh. Dame did not fly to LA to meet him and convince him of anything but they did have a long phone conversation. LA has a lot on his plate and Dame seems to like traveling so let's make it look like a sacrifice and let it be known he was stood up for the Lakers..ok

I've met many people in here in person. And I definitely wouldn't consider our communication similar to players that have fought in the trenches for 3 years straight (remember they fly together, and basically stick with each other for most the season)

Until I hear it from LA that hes leaving, still 100% confident he stays. This doesn't sway me.

Yeah, Los Angeles is very easy to just hop across town to meet up. What are there, like two places in town to get together?
