Honestly, the best defense at this point is "go straight up and keep your hands up"

DOing that alone will make Kanter a better defender - if Meyers can be taught it, quite successfully, I'll add - Kanter can do it.

And currently, our PnR defense is for the big to back off and give up mid range jumpers all day. Kanter will be fine.

Kind of thinking of this like that part in Revenge of the Nerds where they let go of the rope and the jocks all fell into the mud. Maybe I am wrong.

The Bulls were an elite defensive team with Carlos Boozer playing big minutes at PF and even C. The defense was great with Hinrich and Dunleavy playing minutes, too. Both those guys are geezers and not very good defenders.

BTW - does Thibs have a job yet? Really wish we'd make a coaching change...it's a new era after all!

That alone can make this off-season successful.
I like Terry but Thibs is a top 5 coach.

This is a fucking horrible signing if OKC doesn't match at least Ed Davis and Plumlee play some defense, Kanter is a joke on that side of the ball might as well just throw out a rotating member of s2 we could guard as well as Kanter. We already have 5 big front court players we sure as hell don't need a 6th.

I hope OKC says fuck you declines then we have to watch this cluster funk of a team blow up, Neil gets fired loses his house and gets violently sodomized by a hobo on Burnside.

Fuck yeah!!!! You disapprove, which usually means we've done great. I was a little worried about this move until you chimed in! Thanks for changing my mind

20 pages on a thread about a signing that won't happen? Really?

Big Al was the first thing that I thought of as well, until I saw him dribble the length of the floor, which gave me more hope. I still think they match though with the cap going up.

Mags, I was about to post the same thing

Honestly, I was not too happy with this signing but seeing cmeese47's post immediately made me reconsider and think 'well, I guess I must have been wrong, cause I know cmeese always is'.

Now I'm changing my tune. I hope OKC doesn't match and we end up with what I'm now confident will turn out to be a true gem.
