    You just don't get it...
Organizations win championships, players don't win championships. :)

It was the most moronic statement ever made. Krause couldn't get another NBA job after being the GM of 6 championship teams. I don't think the Bulls' current GM could either.

There's really nothing left if we don't get Kanter. It seems like they want to roll in to the season with Frazier.

There are many players left, just not free agents. Like Fez and I said in the other thread, we could trade for McLemore or Barnes. Shit man, we have enough to get both Barnes and McLemore if we really want to get froggy!

Dame, McLemore, Barnes, Leonard and Kanter is a sick starting 5, with all players below 25.

Back-ups: CJ, Plumlee, Pat, Crabbe, Fraizer and Aminu as back ups

If it was less stupid, it wouldn't be nearly as funny. I'm not an MJ fan, but his reaction to it was pretty funny, too. He didn't get mad, just a "Krause really said that?" with a deep exhale.

Sadly, the team still has that mentality.

Von and/or Kaman? They are pretty thin at PF

I don't see any way that's remotely realistic, but I usually don't know what I'm talking about.

Realistic because Sacramento isn't stupid enough to do it? You mean the team that let Spurs have an up and coming PG for a second rounder? The one that Maxed Matthews? The one that let Williams walk? The one that signed Rondo? The one think Karl and Boogie will get past their differences?

And as Fez pointed out, McLemore had a poor PER his rookie year and rose it to below average of 10 last season. Sac tried finding two replacements for McLemore with Matthews and Ellis, so it seems they aren't too high on him anyway.

At least with Von, they find a replacement to their thin PF spot. If Kaman is added, maybe they believe Kaman's vet savvy can help Boogie grow up? I don't know...

We have 6 years to become relevant or we face the same issue with Lillard that we had with LA. I just don't see the drive in Kanter he needs to become the kind of selfless player Z-Bo eventually learned
We are going to struggle regardless I may as well be right while I wait for us to rebuild

Six years is a lifetime and a half in the NBA. Seriously, it's 1.5 times the length of most "long-term" contracts.

Think about it like this though, Kanter was their payday for Reggie Jackson. So if they let him walk, that means they will have traded Jackson AND Harden and received very little in return.

    MM's brilliant idea 137.0

Would OKC let Kanter go for Kaman? He is a quality vet big, saves them $$$$, and fits win now model for them, lets them keep their depth

I think we could be relevant sooner than that and I don't have any reason to project that the Blazers will struggle for 6 years. We've argued about a lot of things for years
but those guys are gone now...give the new roster at least the benefit of the doubt until they've actually played a game. Off topic but I was wondering how your charity for the Portland hospital went? Hope it was a success

this is an absurd statement. Zbo was in the league for 8 years until he finally grew up. And Zbo was traded by 3 teams until he finally made a home in Memphis. Many considered him a total lost cause. The fact you are defending him this way only proves your total logic fallacy. Wake up and smell the coffee bro because you are still dreaming!

That's your problem. You just want to be right and jump on things that give you the best chance of being right. You give two shits about wanting our team succeed and be wrong, which has been constantly proven many times over since you've been here. (Insert "take a bow")

It's a sad case of "Look at me, I want attention!"

That's a primary reason why a 'rebuild' is a bad idea. It takes too long.

We have a young, entering the prime of his career, all star point guard to build around. We need to put young, second and third year bloomers around him who will be hitting their primes in the next couple of years. What Olshey called an "emerging" roster.

I like the position we're in at the moment.
