Yes, but they have three other bigs who will be big money players soon, and I doubt they can keep Durant, who even if he signs might go for a one and one deal like LeBron, and Have enough to keep Kanter, Westbrook, Ibaka, Adams, McGary and others who shine over the next couple seasons.

All Woj said is OKC hasn't notified Portland. That's just a formality of the process.

Yeah, but if you read it in context he kind of makes it sound like there's no news on him. He didn't tweet about Aldridge's news. I believe they still haven't made a decision. But like I said my gut feeling tells me they will at this point.

They've made a decision. There's a difference between making a decision and announcing it. I think you're likely reading too much into Woj's tweet.

Maybe the Thunder plan to trade Durant for lottery draft picks and quality players on rookie contracts, so they do not get burned the way the Blazers did. And then re-build around Westbrook. (Pure speculation on my part)

The Singler re-signing appeared strange at the time given their cap space issues, but not so strange if they plan to trade Durant.

Interesting, but I only see this it behind the scenes Durant has told them he's out.

If we don't get Kanter, then where is our low-post scoring going to come from? Not even just low-post scoring, we need more options on offense. Lillard is really our only proven, consistent scorer. Look, I love Meyers and CJ, but they have a small sample size. Do I have confidence they'll pick up the production this year? No doubt. But, regardless of his defense, Kanter is a lock for at least 15 a night.

So why is everyone saying Presti is matching? Have the Thunder made an announcement? What did I miss?

I think a lot of fans need to start understanding that this is a year for development and asset acquisition. Roles and whatnot aren't really that important.

Nope. It's everyone just assuming based on sense and what he said before any of this started. He said he would match any offer

No one knows shit at this point, though. If you want to keep hope alive, then by God, do it.

Or 11 hours, or maybe weekends don't count and they have until Tuesday!

Life is so much fun in the Mushroom kingdom! :smiley-bonk:

Personally I'm one of the few that actually want Kanter. 23 years old and putting up his numbers is a gamble you take. Yes his defense is bad but so is Lillards but we don't say anything about how he won't improve.

Kanter will be better at D he just can't get any worse than he is and can only go up from here.
