where is everyone? am i on the right thread? do some guys actually have a life and go somewhere on friday evenings? anyway, i see orton finally realizes he better work a little harder if he wants to make any NBA roster or even Euro. I'm focusing most of my energy on Montero; he does have a flair to him, doesn't he?

I like Montero a lot. With some NBA seasoning we could have a Batum in the making--but with aggression!

Montero tries to put some extra sauce on every move he makes. If I were his coach at this point, I'd be telling him he's not allowed to go behind the back or between the legs more than once. I'm tired of seeing him hand the ball to the other team because he's focused on hot dogging. Prove you can make the simple play first.

Montero has too many turnovers but if his teammates could make an open shot, he would have 6 or 7 assists as well. He has hit or created open teammates quite often but they just keep bricking. I'd like to see what he looks like with players around him that could hit open looks. He does get a little too fancy but a lot of those have found the open man as well. I'm impressed with his shot selection tonight which has been much better.

15 points on 9 shots with 7 rebounds isn't bad. He just has unique instincts that not a lot of Blazers on this years or last years roster have.

He can sometimes dribble the air out of the ball then do something totally random at the end of it?

Something like that, but win you some games and pick up the tempo when you need to run the ball

17 points and 9 rebounds for Montero on 6-10 shooting. That is much more impressive than the 24 points Barrett keeps raving about from Dawkings....it took him 23 shots to get those points. Chucker!

Summer league is so much like D league, not great defense but if you get the ball, you shoot it. It's tryouts.
