can anyone explain why the M's just bunted on a 3-1 count with no outs and a .160 hitter coming up?

Our std answer around here is that it's according to "the plan".

fair enough. I guess so is stealing 3rd with 2 outs against a pitcher that's thrown 13 fastballs out of 14 pitches. Not exactly going to bury a splitter in the dirt, now, are we?

In all fairness, AL mgr's get so little practice playing small ball.

Ah.....if were lifting Drew vs LHP, then that negates his defense in late innings. Why is he here again?

Figures, get a game from the Big Donkey and the offense goes out on break. Tone set by Tex when he hit into that 1st inning DP.

That-a-boy Tex. And it couldn't have come against a better pitcher. Don't think the asshole will be shooting any arrows after this game.

OK Tex, I apologize, you knocked the tilt out of Rodneys Cap, but 3 outs to go to keep William Tell from shooting that arrow.

Anytime anyone takes F. Rodney deep, its a Kodak Moment........

Finally a good outing by CC, or is Seattle a fair measure for anything or team......?

This was the game of titled caps, CC, Felix & this bow & arrow asswipe. Why is it that I only see pitchers going with this dumb look?

Good win and now a day off before starting a big series with the Orioles.

Beltran - lost a step or two in RF but still a good major league hitter when healthy.
Look for more of a platoon situation in RF with him vs RHP and Young vs LHP.
    Not too shabby. imho

Yeah....yeah.....I bet he does remember them.
If I remember correctly, (and I'm guessing Cashman also remembers).......
Austin Jackson is the guy they used to acquire Granderson who averaged (per 162 g) 37 HRs, 98 RBI, .829 OPS over four seasons and this includes one year when he played only 61 games due to a broken bone HBP in his forearm.

Back to Jackson- he has averaged career, 10 HRs, 55 RBI, .731 OPS and 168 Ks and has hit a grand total so far,of 20 HRs since 2013.

Jesus Montero?....yes...the name rings a bell. Was supposed to be a "catcher" and has thrown out 14% (lol) of sb/att in his career.
Has a career .256 BA and .695 OPS....

....maybe he can replace Tex and/or Bird at 1b next year and we return Pineda to the Mariners?

    Great win.
Take 2/3 with Felix pitching the rubber game for Seattle.

Yanks got good SP, scored two runs, one with a HR and one set up with small ball via successfull hit-and-run play.

Bullpen pitched 3 scoreless innings to help carry the team home.
Great win......we did NOT want to drop the first "2nd half" series vs a struggling team at Yankee Stadium.

Actually, this is the third time since June he's pitched 6 innings with 7 Ks allowing 3, 2 and 1 run.

We would've sure been bashing the hell out of CC if he got knocked around by Seattle today.....but he didn't...and Cano personally beat Pineda and the Yanks with TWO 2 run HRs yesterday.
CC did a good job today.

CC, Felix, Pineda, and Rodney all suffer from a neck deformity, which makes their hats appear to be on crooked........:nerd:

I think they're trying to start a fad, or try and fit in with WHO....?

If these 4 (and others), could keep their Starter/New Era price labels, and other sales tag(s) bling, left on their hats, (which comes with each new hat, (those sold to the public at least); without breaking any rules for dress code, they would.........

Hats on crooked, pants down below the cleats, or kids in public who's pants are below the equator line, must have some major head trauma's.....:shock2: :smiley-crazy:

    Medic to the mound.......please........!!!:MARIS61:

    Good question Rick........

Perhaps, as kids look up to role models, especially athletes, then those Athletes must look up (rather down) to Gang Bangers for Dress Attire, with horrendous tastes in Attire......
