Wow, just when I was ready to stick a fork in Him too......

in some ways, its hard to tell, with as bad a Team as Philly is both offensively and Defensively. As far as defense, Philly is in a League of their own.....

Laughed myself silly when I heard about that. The Yankees are may favorite team followed by any team that beats the Red Sox, Rays or Cubs.!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Theo orchestrated this to get the Cards to overpay for Hamels.

Yes, Theo did, with the help of Billy Beane.......

and of course what do great pitchers do, when their offense doesn't know how to score runs, the defense a comedy of errors??? He has to throw a No-No like Cole did today. Close was Greinke in his outing last week, of scoreless ball, and a 1 Hitter over 8 IP, 'til he took a seat......

    • The Yankees have asked about Hamels, but their interest does not appear to be much more than due diligence at this time. The Phillies like Yankees power-hitting prospect Aaron Judge, but the Yankees don’t want to trade top prospects like Judge, first baseman Greg Bird or righty Luis Severino. “We’ve had conversations with every club willing to sell, finding out what they’re willing to sell and what their price tags are,” says Yankees exec Brian Cashman.
    • In addition to the Yankees, other recent teams to express interest in Hamels include the Dodgers,Cubs, Rangers and Giants.

Even despite the no-no I still don't want to see the Yankees take on that contract.

The Bums seem to be "heavy favorites" for all Prospects, and FA's this year, mostly due to Guggenheims bottom-less pit of money, with TWB-Cable lining His deep pockets even more. TWB-C, pays out more to the Bums, than most Teams Payroll. Guggy winds up paying approximately 1/5th the overall price tag of the Bums Payroll....

Favorites all year, for every blue chip player(s); since Moncada, yet the Bums haven't been landing all those necessary tools, to enable them to beat Frisco, or St. Louis, hell they can't even beat the Brewers most of the time.....

Bums, also victims of a much needed, 4-5 SP's, as much as anyone. In ST, the Bums, with all the moves, to acquire and en-richen their Minor Lg system are deeeeeep in talent, and can afford to throw some top prospects out for a trade, and still have plenty left. Tho' that doesn't make them odds on favorites at all.

The Bums trade of giving Uribe away, to the Braves; (Now with the Mets) was a horrible trade, IMO. Uribe hit a walk off RBI yesterday, to beat the Bums, and prove, in fact, trading a 2nd in voting Gold Glover at the Hot Corner, was a dumb, dumb move.

Rob I also read somewhere that due to there crowded outfield that Puig is also available in trade talks. Seems like only yesterday he was the Dodgers golden boy.
