Ice Cube: ‘Damian Lillard Got Flow’

    Ice Cube, a key member of the seminal rap group NWA and star of such films as “Boyz N The Hood” and “Are We There Yet?,” in what I assume was part of a promotional tour for the movie “Straight Outta Compton,” joins his son O’Shea Jackson, Jr. to critique some athlete-turn-rappers at the ESPN offices.

    Cube and his son, who plays a younger version of his father in “Straight Outta Compton,” aren’t too impressed from what they hear from the likes of Kobe Bryant, Serena Williams, John Cena and Rich Gannon (thankfully ESPN didn’t bother to lay in any of the audio), though they give some love to Iman Shumpert.

    But it’s Damian Lillard who gets the most praise, with Cube citing the confidence of Lillard’s lyrics before proclaiming “Damian Lillard got flow.” Ice Cube Jr. then finishes off the segment by shouting out Lillard’s #4barFriday project. Ice Cube is only the most recent rapper to tip his cap to Lillard, with Waka Flocka taking to Twitter to praise the off-court prowess of the point guard …

    That nearly 3 minute verse on the "Tell Me Why" track is LEGIT! Not just "good for an athlete," he flat-out KILLS IT! And, he's not just rappin', either... HE'S ACTUALLY SAYING SOMETHING!
