Dammit! I spelled his name wrong. Two UNC guys and two guys from the state of Indiana.

His decision to fuck us on his way out of town? It's obvious he'd always intended to go to the Spurs. His little melodrama, stringing us fans along, and leaving us with nothing is the source of most of the bitterness. Also folding his tent with playoff games remaining was kind of pansy ass

LaMelda can go suck an egg.

Nope. Not better than Sheed because Wallace was a MUCH better defender than LA. I would argue that LA and Zach are pretty comparable. Tons of hollow stats and not much heart when it comes to winning.

I think the bigger issue isn't THAT he left, it's HOW he left.

Is anyone mad at Lopez or Wesley? I doubt it. Upset they left, sure, but I think most if not all of the fans will cheer them when they return. I guess one could argue that they're gone for different reasons (management never rendered them offers), but they didn't go all Lyle Lanley on the fans/franchise.

Wes and Lopez weren't offered a contract though. What were their options? Honestly if They were offered contracts and left, I think the feeling would be fairly similar.

They're playing Rock Paper Scissors, but they always pick Scissors because they were poor growing up and could only afford the Rock and Paper.

So let's get this straight: everybody hates Sheed and Zach until Aldridge leaves in free agency. I wonder who'll leave next so that we can again clutch Aldridge to our bosoms?

Buck and Sheed are my favorite PF's. I started watching the Blazers since the 86-87 season, so I didn't get a chance to watch Sidney Wicks play.

Not gonna happen. And for the record, I wasn't upset when Sheed and Zbo were traded

Wicks was good, but no one liked him.

My favorite Blazers Power Forwards are Moses Malone (haha), Lloyd Neal (I'm listing him even though he was forced to play center a lot), Lucas, Buck, Grant, and Sheed.

We've had a lot of good, tough Power Forwards in Portland. No surprise that's what we've come to expect from the position.

Lets don't forget Kermit Washington and Kenny Carr. They were both tough as nails and had no problem doing the dirty work and letting the other guys get the glory.

Come on! We all can be butt hurt, but Aldridge was much better than both Zach and Sheed. Sheed is a much better defender, but his on court antics lost us many games. Sheed didn't average more than 8 boards a game in Portland to boot

At least we went further in the playoffs with Sheed. His on court antics cost us games, but you had to love the attitude he brought to the team!

Lamarcus did not lead the Blazers to deep playoff runs or win a ring..Sheed was way more passionate and successful as a player and had a better all around game...won a ring in Detroit and went deep in the playoffs against stellar competition most of his career. Lamarcus is a great PF but lacks leadership and playoff experience

I loved Sheed! Rooted for him when he was a piston. But he didn't lead us when we made the WCF two years in a row. There were two leaders in the 1999 squad and 3 on the 2000 roster. None were Sheed.

Part of being a leader is knowing when to defer and allow his teammates to thrive.
