    Toronto climbs 1/2 game out.........

In the 1st game of a 3 gm series b/t Toronto and Anaheim: Mr. Price struck out 9 in 8 IP, giving up 2 runs. In a 9-2 Jays rout.....

Price K'd Trout twice and walked Him once. Both Strike outs of Trout weren't even close for the reigning MVP, while this yrs MVP Front-runner Josh Donaldson went 2 for 3, with 2 doubles, and 3 RBI's.....

The Halos defense with Victorino in LF was a adventure unlike any I've seen in ages. I recall Shane's rookie ST campaign, which landed him the starting RF role in Philly. Shane was all over the field back then, always getting a jump on the ball, making rifle accurate smoking assists with sure shot bullet throws.....as well as hitting at will, stealing bases at will, but no more........!!!

That Shane seems like his best years are long behind him. Victorino had 3 misplayed fly balls, charged with an error on One, misplayed fly ball, easily catchable, IMO. A 2nd throwing error was charged to Victorino in the 9th inning. The 1st ever two error game of Victorino's career.....

Lucky too, as he also misplayed a ball in the gap, again, not getting any jump on it; while another RBI ball was hit cleanly over Victorino's head, off the wall.....

Shane again, looked like he didn't see the ball's flight, as he stood motionless, while the ball flew over his head, not even close....either Shane needs glasses, or is not seeing the ball thru the lights, tho' IMO, he flat out screwed the pooch last night....

and if this is the Halo's Team that will represent the AL West, this will be a short ALDS for Anaheim.......at this point, NY needs every win, while Toronto falters, IF they falter........

This team is 9-10 since August first, not exactly what is regarded as pennant winning baseball. This team may make the playoffs but I don't envision a good run.
