This could possibly end up being the longest game thread ever. Into the 3rd page & the game hasn't even started yet.
If my computer wasn't so slow today. I would of posted even more. Ok guys I think we should try to break the record tonight!!!!
Now THAT'S! the way to start a game. A 2-run double by Headley followed by a 3-run bomb from Gregorius.
Come on Tanaka you got 5 runs why aren't you throwing strikes??? Rick btw who puts the eyeglasses on the threads.
Rick says it best about Tanaka. This is not longer the guy who first came here nor is he what was expected when signed. It's becoming quite obvious to me that due to the elbow there will never be that start to start consistency.
Well on my computer before you click on a thread some of them have eyeglasses and when I put my mouse on it it says "watched"
Ellsbury just saved Tanaka's ass with a great catch in deep center. That would've been a 5-4 game after a rough first. Now 5-2. Hopefully Tanaka settles in because that inning was terrible after being given a 5-0 first inning lead.
predicted the yanks would blow it open in the 1st, also predicted they would give up some of the lead in botttom half. this team goes as far as tanaka takes them, how do you come on to the scene as an unhittable pitcher and in just 4 months in bigs look like an average pitcher?
that just goes against every rule in the books when it comes to these million dollar arms, there isn't a single player on any team that had a disclosed injury, that would come back and take this risk, there has to be something more
Good eye kid. 6-2 We get pizza. Have any of you guys try Papa John's I heard it was nasty....Now its 9-2.
He's a tough guy....still hanging in there. Since July he's gone at least 6 IP in every start including a couple of at least 7 IP.
Honestly I don't know, you'd have to ask Vic (Messiah), he's the MOD on this board, I'm sure he would know. And yeah Vic you're right, in Tanaka's first 14 starts he was 11-1 with a 1.99 ERA & 113 strike outs in 99 innings before he got hurt. This is DEFINITELY not the same pitcher.
