    Yes ,saw it first hand..... Mets mid 80's won a ring quicker then any org in history

    when u been ridin the pine for 3 months behind the league leading 55 error 1st round pick, and in just 2 weeks time of playing consistent ball puttin up very good #'s, open the eyes of the org, get invited to winter ball, you think anyone of us knew or cared what they called the league!

    when i called home to to tell the folks about the good news, do you think i was like, Y'ALL!!!!! i got invited to play in the grapefruit league?

    Yep -

    Severino has to cut down on his BB.
    He's averaging more than 3 per 9 inn.
    This is holding him back from going deeper in games.
    However, it's not as if he's wild and out of control. He always seems to be in charge and has great poise. Maybe that's just his "style". (?)

    Bird has to cut down on his Ks and continue to use the whole field.
    Maybe I'm mistaken but it looks as if he's trying to pull the ball too much.

    Otherwise - the kids are "okay" .....still learning the ropes.

    this is an exceptional year, of great rookie talents, with bat, Gloves, arms, and given a nice boost to MLB in general........
