They'll be turning up at our doorstep and you can bet The Prez will welcome as many as he can. Like most of the invaders from south of the border, there will be LARGE majority who are uneducated, not inoculated, some carrying desease along with some outright criminals, and will be a big drain on local and state resources, will run counter to and have a problem with our country"s culture, laws and "customs". Not to mention possible foreign enemy agents and operatives who will probably be mixed in.....both from south of the border and getting off planes and ships. And nobody really knows how many invaders have already and continue to secretly slip into our communities and cities......this is what happens when you do not have a hard barrier and/or a small army guarding our land borders and Mayors of cities (San Fran comes to mind) who refuse to follow federal law. Any or truth or close approximation to this number- ? 1/2 mil various crimes committed by illegals/invaders in Texas alone ranging from murder, rape and various misdemeanors. Alot of pain, sorrow, time, money and resources which could've and SHOULD BE prevented.
Of course the current occupant of the White House will welcome them, none of them will be "crashing at his crib". On the last job I worked we had many Bosnian & Serb "refugees" . I used to get pissed when they'd say "in my country" newsflash you fucking joke you are in America and our laws, customs, and language applies. Many of them instead of appreciating the employment and fringe "bennies" not applicable to us locals could only talk of returning "home" . If people want to come in to this country, adapt to its lifestyle, blend in a bit of their culture I have little problem. It's how the country was set up to be. But if they want to be Bolshevick and change the lifestyle to where they came from, then go back. Yesterday I was in a grocery store heard a customer remark to the clerk that Europe was years ahead grocery store wise of how things were done here. I told that asshole the best thing about Europe were the departing flights for the States. When I joined the Army I took an oath to support and defend the constitution and the USA. That service took me to some places where I sometimes wondered how I was defending this country but I did. I once heard Obama state in Europe that Americans were sometimes arrogant towards Europe. Fuck you Barrack, myself and hundreds of thousand of other American Men served on that continent to make sure the Soviets stayed in their own yard, I must have missed seeing Obama over there. Yep, I get Red White and Blue over this shit!
...the US has been trying to be the "policemen of the world" for way to long and trying to force our will, way of life, and government on everyone else, while trying to make them believe they need to be just like us. Well, everyone is not like us and we already have more than our fair share of immigrants, migrants, refugees, etc., while we continue to subsidize way too many people with free government cheese. ...don't get me wrong, I realize there are people who truly need help but the majority of them are simply too sorry to work, and frankly, as long as the government continues to give shit away there's absolutely no reason for them to work. And the only way for them to give something away is to first take it from someone else...and I'm sick and tired of giving and having things taken from me. ...no more immigrants, not until they make some of our shiftless "citizens" get off their asses and go to work like most of us. ...before we take on even more people with there hands out, how about if we take care of our own problems first?
Used to know an English guy that was trying to immigrate to this country per his story for many a year. I used to joke telling him he was the wrong color, spoke the wrong language, and had a bona-fide trade so his way in would be very difficult, I probably was not to far off the true path.

Coming out of Farming Country, (KS), (LA), I know this Nation has a ton of excess grain, meant for Our Citizens in time of Crisis, but more often than not, given away each fkn year, to those effing Soviets/Russians, who are starving, Somalia, et al. BTW- You were right on Pres. Carter, he may of made a mess of sorts out of our Nuclear Triad, (trying to exchange air borne missles in lieu of Air Born Nuke Platforms, ie B52s, B1s, B2s. These 3rd World Economies are on the fritz, cuz of the asinine Leadership they have. These Nations often lack the knowledge how to put together a self serving, and for the people, style of Democracy, after they've over thrown their own crooked military regimes; to replace them with just as crooked of regimes. So who's next, for us to go and turn another Nation, in trouble, which lacks not only food, medical, and other treatments; while getting better medical treatment than most American Seniors. Waste/Sewage Systems, Water-works, Power Plants; all built by American G.I.s, for little to no respect, other than a few IED's in return? We save the Shah, and get the Ayatollahs, after we fortified their Army and Air Forces. We armed Bin Laden in his fight vs the Russkies, and wound up enabling a mass murderer of epic proportions, mad-men, crazed fkn Muslims, which don't help those Conservative Muslims at all, what few I've met. Tho' I don't turn my back on a fkn one of 'em, cause they will stab it, in more ways than one. We wound up taking on the Taliban, Al Qaeda, Iraq, then have to go back and kick more ass, to get our hands on Oil? ...Matts, throughout history whenever one country conquered another, they took their shit. ("To the victor goes the spoils")...but when the US makes war they then rebuild that same country afterwards. ...simply put, if you're the president/dictator of a country with a lot of problems, simply pick a fight with the US...because the US will send in the troops, blow up your cities, and then give you money, rebuild your infrastructure, and basically make your country much better than it ever was before.

In all my years of Service I considered myself a US Soldier. At no time in Basic Training or AIT did I ever hear a Senior Non-com or Officer say you're gonna go over there and teach those people to be like us. We were aware of the fact that we were Allies and "guests" of the host Countries. If one does not know the term "SOFA" they either never served nor had a relative who did. I do recall for example Germans saying why are you here. My answer ask you Government they invited us here. Oh we can handle the Russians, answer you did not do well in '45. I can tell you from experience that the American, French, and English zones of Berlin were far superior to the Soviet equivalent when I was stationed there. Trust me I did not get a gold plate invitation from the Bundeswher to come over. and participate in War Game, That was reserved for the REFORGER guys and I made a few of those as well. Old US GI Joe was pretty slick, could see through politics and bullshit but still serve his country. And yes many of us agreed that the US would be served well with more of us at home. Like many others I signed the contract, took the oath, served honorably, and if I had it to do again I would do so.
...you do know I was talking about our government and not our foot soldiers trying to make other countries "just like us", right? ...the grunt down in the hole could care less about the geo-political BS...they're just there doing their job and following orders of their superiors and commander in chief. According to my Dad the military has changed drastically as opposed to when he enlisted (1944)...he said that back then a fellow in a uniform could easily hitch hike cross country if he wanted to because back then people really respected and admired our men in the military...and people in foreign countries loved American soldiers and went over board to make them feel welcome and appreciated... but according to Dad that all changed since Viet Nam.
Unfortunately, a lot of blame falls on the shoulders of the United States. We made a complete and utter mess over there with a lot of what you guys mentioned a be like us mentality. They all want democracy so spread it around. How has that worked out? Every one of those countries is a complete disaster.
I haven't ready anyone's responses yet, but here are my 2 cents... The second sentence in that link is pure bull... the US doesn't HAVE to do anything... If you want to, fine, but don't feel like you have to... and why can't they go elsewhere? Why do we have to rescue the world (and people across the world tend to hate that when we do)??? Don't we do enough as it is? Look at all the humanitarian aid we dole out year after year after year to countries who hate us... Why should we take some on when I've seen clips of them refusing aid in person because it has the red "christian" cross on it... it's the red cross, not a christian cross... We're currently offering aid and it's being refused... so you don't want that, screw you... Also, we already have a severe issue with underemployment... and we want to infused the population with more bodies who could work? And they won't have incomes, so we'll need to stretch that all-might dollar even further... And with the current idiot fraudulently residing in the oval office, chief-golfs-alot, you know there will be a push to raise taxes further hurting those already hurting on barely surviving even more... So we're already strapped for cash, over worked, doing more with less, and you want to stretch us even further now? No thanks... we need to leave more for others to do...
If you look at the articles though, many are saying chief-golfs-alot isn't doing enough already... I don't think he wants to piss off his fellow muslim terrorists...
I basically said the same stuff and I agree this "policemen of the world" and "savior of the world" mentality has got to stop... I agree with all of this... no more until you pull your weight and provide something beneficial! And we DEFINITELY need to take care of our own issues first
...Mess, take the Jews and Arabs for example...why do we keep getting in between them, especially since we know how it's gonna end up? ...those fuckers have been fighting for hundreds of years and they will NEVER stop...and it's part of the reason why we have an ongoing problem in the middle east and part of the reason why we are seen as devils by many of them and why they flew our own planes into buildings and why the present day terrorists still exist.
