You'd be stuck with it or have to find some trade up deal to be close to the Apple plan. That is, if you want a new phone in 12 months.
Apple fanboy Keep in mind, every time you make a new commitment, the actual renewal term is 24 months though. Trading your phone in for a new one just extends the payment process further into the future.
