Coughlin without a doubt needs to go after that disaster. They handed back a win that Dallas begged the Giants to take. The clock management was incomprehensible. First, on the play where they snapped it with 18 seconds left on the game clock and them on that horrific call to throw it on third down. They basically gave Dallas another minute to play with. At 34 seconds and only using the sidelines the game is also pretty much over.

Manning should have just taken the sack which would have resulted in another 40 seconds off the clock.

I'd rather take a knee... cause then he wouldn't be risking injury further hurting this teams chance's this year even if they are slim to nil

Just really poor clock management, no excuse for it.

They shouldn't of called a pass to begin with. Run the ball again and try and score. If you get stopped then run the play clock all the way down and kick the FG.

My point exactly. No way you give the ball back with that much time left. And on that note the "D" completely sucked in that last drive.

...seemed like a collective effort between Eli and the coaching staff last night that caused them to lose a game they had in the bag.

...but as far as defense, it always amazes me that late in a close game the team that is winning often goes into the "prevent defense"...often times, the only thing it actually prevents is for that same team from winning.

...how many times have we seen the exact same scenario in the NYG game unfold the exact same way? The thinking is that the defense tries to ensure that it does not give up that "one big play"...but does it really matter if it's 4 small plays instead that cause you to lose the game you should have won?

...is it just me, or is the perfect time to blitz is when you know the other team has got to pass ?...so I'd rather rush at least 5 instead of 3 or 4...kinda hard for the QB to throw when he's on his ass.

Absolutely, but to he fair the defensive personal the Giants have out there really isn't all that great. That being said they needed to tighten up on that last drive. Dez Bryant was out and with one incomplete pass mixed in there they allowed Dallas to go 72 yards on just five plays. I said to myself after the first play Dallas was going to win. They allowed a middle of the field dump to Dunbar go for 24 yards which put them almost at midfield. That being said Romo and Dallas knew the Giants had a practice squad kid in there for an injured Beason. While he played not terribly last night Romo exploited him big time on that last set of plays.

Not a pretty game at all. No way to begin any Teams Season. I expected more
I read last night, that Eli said just that.......he should've taken the sack.....

A pitiful game for a Season Opener, and Man, I fkn despise the Cowboys......No Odell Beckham 2 finger catches in this one.....
