Here's MLB Trade Rumor's top list... http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/09/2016-mlb-free-agent-power-rankings-6.html While I don't want to dole out long term deals, I'm intrigued by #6 Greinke & #10 Leake. If I were to give 1 a longer deal, it would be Leake, but still, don't want more than 5 years...
The big shock or question is what he hell happened to Cueto? Being bad is one thing but this is historic bad.
^^^I don't think there's any way the Dodgers let him get away. ...besides, Cashman would simply bend over once again, open up the check book, over-pay, over-extend, give him a full NTC, and give him an opt out clause.
Yeah, you're probably right but we still need a stopper that we can depend on. (Rob inserts diaper joke here).
That's going to be the issue with some of these guys. That's why the Mets are going to be in a very tough spot with Cespedes. The guy is playing himself into a an Ellsbury deal if not better.
...yeah, the articles I've read have specifically point to Ellsbury's contract as a template for Cespedes.
Plus, he's going above and beyond with the season he has put together. This offensive run he's on is unreal.
I don't foresee or hear of any movement out of Greinke's camp, not once this year. I can't imagine this over zealous Ownership Group led by Guggenheim Partners, even letting any team come close to paying Him a few Million equal, to what these fkng Bums are throwing at Players of His Caliber, while trying to corner the market, ........ the games have begun, give this group another decade, and MLB won't know how they got taken over by a Ownership Bazillionaire Group.... I've never been a Bums fan, tho' I loved watching Koufax and Drysdale, which b/t Zack and Kershaw, exposing some of boths records, its no wonder these 2, are the Bums. Without both, the Team would be sub-par, no wait, that's the Giants. As both go, so go the Bums....
A Hole in One.........Vic, ya' didn't see that one coming??? But, I agree, Cespedes was for most of His career an avg .250 hitter, with no men on base. His B'Avg has always been .100 points higher with RISP, approx: .350........ NTM-IMO, Yoenis has the best arm velocity, strength, speed, and Accuracy in both leagues, no contest, good to see his bat has come around........
Beltran is batting around 275 & I believe he's currently leading the team And Beltran is hitting around 275 & leading the team in hitting.
