I have podcast experience. Like real ones. I have microphones and mixers and (used to have) an FTP site I hosted everything out of. I am willing to help, and happy to advise.
Thanks man, I have no clue how is wanna do it yet. It'd be cool to set up a couple different shows with different guys during the week. I have a college season coming up and would probably do just one a week, and I'd probably do it with skype. (I have a solid mic). I'd just be cool to create a platform to get some of the thoughts on here out there for others to hear, finding a way to integrate the site somehow. However I have no experience so any advice is welcome!
Rebecca Haarlow... That's extra motivation if ya know what I mean. I'm getting the classic "Forget your hobby, get in the gym" treatment. I feel special already!
It's usually a time issue getting people together. I always get busy and don't have time to organize and get guests. I have contacts and all the equipment but just need someone who wants to do some organization to help out.
I would want to record with people in different locations. I have a simple idea, but it wouldn't be live. However, we could simply conference call with headphones, and have each person record their own audio using Audacity (it's free), then email the file to me. Id mix it down, do some post production with an intro and some sound clips, and post it an hour or so later. Obviously each person would would need a mic and a quiet place, but that's all. Live from different locations would be a little difficult. I have a visuon of 30 minute shows on Tuesday/Thursday and an hour long segment on Sunday which I'd host. If possible it'd be cool to do post games (instead of Tuesday/Thursday). It'd be nice to get 3 or 4 people interested in doing this, so we could rotate hosts depending on each persons personal schedule
If you can make that happen that would be impressive. It also seems like a lot of work for what is going to be a small audience at first. I think a once a week half hour podcast would be better. As your audience builds then increase it to 40mins, then a hour.
Not trying to be a pessimist, but with most websites, I have found many of your great posters are not great speakers.
SouthEast I had a blast sitting in with you guys doing that. Sent from my Baller-Ass 5.5" iPhone 6+......... FAMS
Yeah I agree with that. I meant that as something that would be worth working towards. Well we gotta find the ones who can do both. What about you Bailey? You just a poster or you a speaker too?
Well, I am a lead singer and have done many voice overs on the side over the years. Time is indeed a huge factor though. Id be interested if it fit together though.
I did a podcast on another subject for a couple months. It was me and a few guys. It ended because feelings were hurt. Someone's feelings always get hurt
if the timing works out, I can probably come up with some material. Either sniping in the comment thread, or doing a taped segment...at least until playoff time when I get back.
Brian and I will start a podcast where we sit around and talk about how awesome it is to always be right. Nobody else will be invited (especially not Sly)
I'd be interested in participating. I've been a guest on a few episodes of podcasts done by a couple friends of mine. I usually end up hosing back several beers over the course of a couple hours, and I get funnier and funnier as I get drunker and drunker. And I have audio proof of that fact.
