During the '81 season my then squeeze was a big time Pirates Fan. Went up to New York for a Yankee Game, the next night I took her to Shea for a Mets Pirates Game. She had on Pirates Gear and our seats were right behind the Pirates Dugout. That night Tony Pena gave her a bat but stadium security took it away, gave her one of those air bats in replacement. I caught hell from Mets Fans for wearing Yankee Gear. A Mets fan once told me the Mets originated in New York but the Yankees came from Baltimore. Yep the Mets are original, name taken from a former NY team, Dodger and Giant colors, Team logo from the Giants, statue of Jackie Robinson who played for the Dodgers, ball park built along the lines of old Ebbets Field. Real original gang. I hope CC puts one in Grandersons ass tonight.
