So you'll continue to take jabs at me, even after I proved you wrong AND you never responded to my lengthy post explaining myself. Guess once you're a troll, you know how to do nothing else. And it's strenuus.
What are you talking about? There are people on here talking about making the playoffs and winning 40 something games. Those are very unrealistic goals.
Kinda like you "expecting" to get laid one of these years by something that you don't inflate and it NEVER happening?
Dude, that was said in confidence. I mean, it was a way for us to connect on something we both go through, ya know...
No, I honestly won't. I've never (well, not since I was a kid) been hung up on regular season W/Ls. Sure, some particular losses really sting as a fan, but I've seen enough basketball to know that a W/L record can be very misleading. I think I'll enjoy this season's losses more than last season's wins. I'd rather watch a team develop than a watch a team stagnate.
Rather win 50+ games a season and not make it past the first round then go back to losing with young guys who hustle and have heart and determination. Just me.
I realize I'm comparing apples to oranges, but I coached both my sons in youth baseball and basketball almost all the way through their grade school years. Some teams had great records and that was cool. Some had crappy records. The winning never ever came close to beating (or the losing close to negating) watching the kids learn and grow. I still remember the first time a third grade team ran the pick and roll (or "give and go") to perfection. We got our asses kicked that game but we were the crew that looked like a basketball team. The team was far prouder of their ability to execute together than they would have been if they had been lead to a win by one or two hotdogs. And once they figured it out, they just kept getting better, beating more talented yet less disciplined teams. And when we lost, we rarely lost ugly. So I agree with blue9, at least about this year's team. The satisfaction (and even joy) is going to be in how this particular team develops and comes together.
If you arent going forward, youre going backward. Winning 50 every year and losing in the first round means Never Winning a title. Losing with young guys that MIGHT develop in a couple of years at gives hope for something better
I can understand that mentality. I just would rather Drive an Audi or BMW with 75,000 and have it break down every now and then and have to get a new one.......than drive a brand new Kia or Hyundai.
Would it matter if driving the Kia for a couple years gave you the opportunity to own a Bentley shortly thereafter?
Actually no. Thats not my style....... Always have been the kinda person who doesn't like to take steps back even if it means I go further ahead. I guess I look at this team like I do my life. Thats probably why I drive a very nice Audi with 85,000 miles on it and am content.
What's stupid about it? I find your comment far more stupid as it has absolutely no substance. Stupid.
That's the wrong analogy. You would rather have a new Hyundai or Kia that was reliable, but won't get you laid, rather than be in a drawing for a Ferrari, but have to drive a 200k mile Yugo until you win
