Who gives a flying f on his draft position, if you can get Bennet for $1-$2mil - he is worth a flyer.

But look at the two teams he was playing for.... Cleveland (pre LeBron) and Minnesota. I mean, the absolute WORST place he could go now would be Philly.

Bennett (no matter who he signs w/) can't/won't play the 3.

I understand "can't" a bit, but not "won't". Has he said this?

This will b my 3rd time saying this (others have said this too), we lose 2 players w/o bringing in Bennett, we lose 3 IF we bring him in.

    Bennet: 6'6" barefoot; 7'1" wingspan; 239 lbs.
Draymond Green 6'6" barefoot; 7'1" wingspan; 236 lbs.

Maybe he won't, but I don't see how he "can't" with the right training. He has decent handles, potentially a good long shooter, quick and strong.

Biggest difference? Bennett defensive rating 111; Green 97.

If I had to choose, right now I would let Mike Miller and Tim Frazier go. As much as I like having Kaman around as an influence, I think I'd try to deal him for a 2nd rounder or something. I don't see the point of keeping him and not playing him. I don't think he'd enjoy that very much either.

Body types/metrics are meaningless here; Draymond is unique, u can't compare the 2; far different players in many aspects. W/ the proper training... I definitely see how he can't, he hasn't shown any exceptional intelligence @ the 3 let alone his current position (if he hasn't been able to show proficiency here... what makes him capable/able/worthy to move onto a position that requires much more speed/endurance?). His "handles" r so-so, potentially (his mid-range was poor last yr. in the NBA; his 3's were pretty good for the national team bc of the competition & the 3pt. line is a bit closer) a good shooter (IF he could become decent here, THIS is how he could revamp his career but he's still not going to be awesome), & he's decently strong. Bennett's not very quick; IF the highlights in this thread & for his national team were the best he could do... not impressive to me @ all & not good enough (he seems to be "quick" to some bc of timing & sometimes being crafty & his competition). A player like Bennett must become exceptional mentally @ this game in order to have success.

Also, "Defensive Rating = (Opponent's Points Allowed/ Opponent's Possessions) x 100. The result is the expected amount of points that an individual player will allow on defense over 100 possessions. This stat can be significantly influenced by the defense of a player's teammates." Post the link where you pulled those #'s from & I'll bet it will be easy to prove these #'s don't mean much.

I think the answer is...the Wolves couldn't trade him anywhere in the league and now teams have pretty full rosters with value they're hesitant to give up on for him...my guess...Shanghai Sharks until Feb, then somebody picks him up

Nah, someone will sign him. I would be really surprised if he doesn't land somewhere.
