    I look at this team & I see them closing in on 90 wins & I can't help but ask, "How the fuck?" I mean seriously this team doesn't do anything well. They've got no running game (13th in the AL in SBs), They don't hit very well, And they play absolutely no small ball (11th in the AL in SH). And on the pitching end they're last in the league in shutouts, 10th in CGs & I'm guessing probably near the bottom in starters going 6 innings or less.

    So I ask again "How the fuck?" This is just not a very exciting team to watch & there's no way this team has any business being 17 games over 500 let alone being a playoff team.

    It seems like all season long I've been doing one or two things, :nerd::hairout::nerd::hairout::nerd::hairout:

    And I failed to mention that they only have one regular hitting over 270 (Beltran at 275) So HOW THE FUCK is this boring team that doesn't excell in any area 17 games over 500?

    Made a grub run to Sams this AM. The door guy is a Rays Fans, knows I'm a Yankee Fan. This morning he was assisted a guy who wearing Red Sox Gear. Mr Rays fan greeted me saying no playoffs for the Rays but your Yankees won't get far. Upon finding out I was a Yankee Fan Boston Boy started bragging about last nights game and how the Jays were taking the division. Just one more example of how the embarrassing predicaments Yankee Fans experience trying to defend the current unit. Used to be if someone knocked the Yankees you could say the Yankees are always in the hunt. The 2013 through the current unit have found themselves hunted.

    They just don't seem like they have the couple of guys who are going to get white hot and potentially carry them through doing anything in the playoffs. They can't hit junk pitchers at this point so I question what they're going to do even in a one game playoff game.

    Right now Vic, I don't see a hot bat in the lineup.

    These are the current averages for the month of September...............

    Gregorius = 250
    Beltran = 245
    Rodriquez = 228
    Ellsbury = 216
    McCann = 194
    Headley = 189
    Gardner = 188

    Like I said, not a hot bat in the bunch.

    I'll of course pull for them until the final out of the season but the averages are very telling. All in all I'd like them to win the play in game and at least give us a playoff series this year. It might be a short one but I would like more than just a one game and out.

    I think it's just the reality of the situation. Win the playoff game and give us a series. I can live with that at this point. Unless of course the Mets win the World Series.

    I wear Yanx hats whenever and wherever I go. Yes, it has been a damn near embarrasment, to have the Custodial guy at the door at Costco, yell Yankees, are they a basketball team, "No there a fkn Hockey Team you dick."

    I've got shit all year long.....

    as for Bean-eater Fans, I always tell them the same ol' lines: "Yeah I do have a Boston hat believe it or not,", that gets their attention, and they shut up for a moment, while I continue, with: "Yes, I have kept it in my Camping Gear, because when I'm in the woods, I know I always got a hat to shit in." My camping porta potty, but NO I do NOT own and never have worn any Bean-eater para-fkn-phenelia....

    The Mets are 0-7 vs the Cubs, 0-6 vs the Pirates, 3-4 vs the Cards, and 4-3 vs the Bums, and 2-4 vs the better of the two NY teams.

    The Cubs, Pirates, Cards, have some interesting records on the year....for wins vs losses against the playoff teams ahead.....Poor Donnie BB, I don't foresee them going anywhere past one Series, NLDS. End of the line for the Bums, and I hope not Donnie......

    tho' I've read alot of articles by sports journalists, here and around the nation; who try to put Donnie down as a poor Mgr, those are grasping at straws, he has improved by leaps and bounds, when it comes to putting out a good line up, as well as knowing when to take the hook to Kershaw, call the right RP out of the bullpen, (but then with their payroll, they should have NO excuses in losing, but they will lose.....Bums have been snake bit this year with only 2 SP's one can usually count on. The other 3-5 Starter's really have not gelled, or seen the success of the Koufax/Drysdale clones.

    I just wish He'd fire McGwire as a hitting coach, really what does McGwire know about hitting for a high avg....? nada- clueless in LA.

    What a game, one of the very best matchups of NL southpaws, and there are no better than these two-

    from: http://m.mlb.com/news/article/152345236/dodgers-defeat-giants-to-clinch-nl-west-title

    theres videos also on this URL Website-

    Clayton Kershaw pitched the Dodgers to their third consecutive NL West title Tuesday night, besting Madison Bumgarner with a one-hit masterpiece and 8-0 shutout over the defending world champion and arch-rival Giants.
    Kershaw became the second pitcher in MLB history to throw a shutout of 1 hit or less in a division-clinching start. The first came on a no-hitter from Astros right-hander Mike Scott vs. the Giants in 1986.

    The victory -- ending losing streaks of four games overall and seven games at AT&T Park -- pulled the Dodgers one game behind the Mets for home-field advantage in the playoffs, although the Mets own the head-to-head tiebreaker.

    Kershaw (16-7 on the season and 9-3 career at AT&T Park), who also clinched the division last year by beating the Giants, struck out 13, including a stretch of 11 out of 13 batters from the fifth through ninth innings. He defeated Bumgarner (18-9) for the first time in their four meetings this year and his second win in their seven career meetings.

    Kiké Hernandez, Justin Ruggiano and A.J. Ellis homered off Bumgarner, the latter two back-to-back in the sixth inning to chase the Giants' ace. Kershaw allowed only a one-out single to Kevin Frandsen in the third inning and at the plate helped run up Bumgarner's pitch count with a 13-pitch at-bat in the fifth inning.

    It certainly wasn't the pitching duel I expected & Kershaw showed once again why IMO he's the best pitcher in the game today.
