Well shit... If we can use allegations as a judge of character, then we can say Obama is a Muslim, non-american citizen that wants to bring shari law into America. There have been many of those allegations going around already.

So, because the bartenders union and construction companies were run by the mob, anyone who built a casino automatically had mob ties? That seems pretty weak.

You can tell a lot about a person by the people they surround themselves with and who they do business with. Obviously when it comes to being as successful as Trump, you don't get there without stepping on people's toes and often times having some help...but I think it's pretty easy to see that he is not what this country needs right now.

The DC Establishment has stepped on all our toes without batting an eye. It would be nice for them to get kicked in the nuts like they've been kicking ours.

I can't disagree with you there. Everything I've seen and read so far has me very intrigued by Bernie...being so far out I haven't spent too much time on Politics. Don't plan on it until the field clears up a little bit. With announcement like Bernie's today that his litmus test for future SC justices if if they plan to go after the Citizen's United Act, Bernie feels like someone who has the momentum to actually win and kick the establishment's ass.

Skimming the OT forum you seem to be against him, may I ask why?

Citizens United was the correct ruling.

If Unions can mandate membership and thus dues, and uses those dues for political purposes, why shouldn't a corporation be allowed to do likewise?

I happen to be pro union, but I'm also pro free speech.

I'm actually not against him as a person and as I've said many times, I think he's got good motives. I don't think he has some secrete agenda here.

What I do see is him being in office for 16 years, during which time congress was responsible for 14.5+ trillion in debt. Maybe he was against it, but he definitely had enough influence in the White House to make things happen to stop the bleeding.

Then, I look at policies and which countries he wants us to emulate. They tax anywhere from 35-49% of their country's GDP. That's like 6-9 trillion total government spending.

So when I see this possibility of my tax going to the government and how DC has spent their credit cards like some spoiled trust fund kid on rodeo drive, it scares the living shit out of me.

So I like Bernie as a person, I think he means well, but if he makes it to the White House, DC will pass bills to tax more, then fuck him over and use it for other things. I just don't see Bernie have the clout to enforce change, especially when we saw how the BLM girls took the mic from him and he just walked away with his head down.

What did you want him to do? Fight them? Shoot them? Challenge them to a rap battle?

Have the necessary foresight to stop them before they get to him.

Definitely, have security take them away if they got that close.

Oh, it's his security you have a problem with. Well the good news is if he is elected president he will have the secret service to keep the BLM people away.

No it's Bernie, because he didn't tell his security to remove them. He just sat back and let them do their thing while he didn't say a word. Only until fans and the security finally took it upon themselves to remove them was when they left. Bernie did absolutely nothing.

I saw code pink and other loonies disrupt Cheney and other administration officials in congressional hearings. Their response was, "I'm happy to live in a country where people can voice their opinions, critical of government or not."

The biggest myth I've heard about Sanders is that he's about the middle class. His demographic is the under 20-30k a year crowd, often on welfare, etc. If anyone is about the middle class, it's Trump. The whole "the middle class doesn't exist" is horseshit spewed by underachievers who think everybody is failing at life.

Truth be told, his tax plan isn't perfect. Cutting taxes is good...but he's cutting them a lot. I'd assume that's because he thinks he can make up the lost cash by being better at business, trade, and having people consume more because now they have more control of their money.

That's not actually correct, about Sanders, in fact it's backwards. At least according to the Fox News poll (not endorsing Fox, just the most recent poll I could find data for quickly), among <$50k voters, Hillary leads Bernie 54-20%, while for >$50k voters, Bernie leads 38-37.

Now, as far as Trump being about the middle class - yeah... sure. That's why his tax plan gives the biggest break to the top 1%.

I hope you realize not everybody in the %1 is a Batman villain. Also, his tax plan gives breaks to pretty much everyone.

Oh, I'm very aware of the former. As for the latter, yes it does (which makes it a bullshit plan, since it isn't coupled with corresponding spending cuts), but bigger breaks to the wealthy than the non-wealthy (which makes it a typical Republican plan).

Are you really completely blind to the job creation this will do? The additional business this will stimulate? The additional revenue to be reaped?

Well, yeah. The Republican tax plan consists of cuts, usually.

Spending cuts is a different issue. Trump seems to like big military, so I doubt a cut will be made there.

Personally, my favorite tax plan presented thus far has been from Rand Paul.

This too. If Trump actually brings industry back to the U.S, people will be making money they can actually spend because they aren't taxed into the grave.
