I expect to start seeing a rise in security guards working places I've never seen them before

Well I disagree. I would like a 40mm grenade launcher and M2 for the bow if I want to travel through pirate infested waters.

I grew up on a large dairy farm and had to go to school for two weeks and pass tests to operate combines, heavy farm equipment and drive it on public roads..you had to be 14. The restrictions to get an algricultural license to drive a tractor were more difficult than the restrictions to get really dangerous weapons

Or just not sail pirate infested waters would be an option

Please, tell me more about this profiling you want gun sellers to do. Or this worth you think someone should have.

So, if I were a gun seller I should profile you and judge if you are worthy enough to purchase a gun? But I couldn't make those judgements based on if you were legally here or not a criminal? So accent? Skin color? Saggy pants?

Can't you have those things if you are in international waters? I see no problem you owning them. Just make sure you don't when you come into US waters.

It is the only option now. It sure adds a lot miles to some voyages though. Kind a dumb that the Nations of the world allow pirates on the seas in about 4 major areas, but they will not permit
regular people to legally be arm doing the lawful thing like check in and out with Customs and Immigration. Pirates do not bother.

Make that the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, and the whole South China Sea. You can add Proximity of North Africa too, Med and Atlantic.

If you want to sail there then sail there. Just don't call the US government if you get in trouble.

Put a civil tongue in your mouth, and assume a respectful tone, I may enlighten you one day.

I'm being civil, you're the one doing the name calling.

I'm asking for additional information. You're the one who doesn't want background checks but wants to use profiling and worthiness to decide who should and shouldn't own guns. I want to know what your standard will be for this and how it will be decided and enforced.

I don't believe felons, or illegals, or even people who are here legally should own guns. I'm interested in using mental illness as a factor for gun ownership but that needs to be carefully and narrowly defined. I think that is much more logical and reasonable than no background checks.
