I've pretty much been that way for many years...what it comes down to most of all is I don't trust people to be rational, civil or logical most of the time and that's actually sad

Proving the absurdities of gun free zones.

I don't think gun free zones are absurd at all, and a rise in security guard contracts has really nothing to do with it from my perspective

Why is it nobody here can post about me without lying?

It seems nobody has the debating skills to engage in honest conversation supporting their viewpoints on important issues, so they take the predictable cop-out of mock and ridicule, exposing their tiny IQ's to the world.

I'm a dog lover. Have 2 dogs currently. Have always had at least one dog. Have never feared dogs. Have been attacked by dogs numerous times. Any fear or anger involved would be directed at the irresponsible dog owners. I picture you as probably someone who should not have a dog.

I think you might be thinking of a competency vetting. I also think you need to earn the right to be armed through a responsible mentor. It might be your father but it could be someone else willing to take the responsibility for bringing you through the process. Right now, my daughter is rather pissed at me because I will not give her son one of my guns. I won't because I an not sure
he is ready to handle it. And so far he hasn't been willing to come pass the test. In my view, as a parent, to allow a young male to become armed when he is not mature and ready to be responsible, you have committed an atrocious act on society, criminal to be certain.

    Your teacher would be dead.

And if he's any good, he'd teach you that.

Gun free zone means killing zone with a free pass for the wacko in my view. An I sure get it how you all feel good about making a place a "gun free zone" but dam, I wish you would get over
the feel good. The is no other good.

That's quite a presumption there Maris...you seem to like defining others from a distance without a reference point I've noticed...I might learn something from you if you weren't busy dissecting my posts for the sake of argument. I doubt if you could teach him more about self defense than he could teach you but we'll never know...you might be the next Bruce Lee

Demilitarized zones are supposed to work as gun free zones in place like the border of Korea...there are always people who break the rules but they serve a purpose

Having a discussion does not require a sparring partner but you seem to need that..tell me how you would improve our public safety and we'll have a conversation..tell me I'm an idiot and we'll just play ping pong

In communist nations, if you weren't a communist, you were declared insane.

    Slippery slope and all that.

Those kindergartners should be at the firing range anyway. How the hell will they learn to defend themselves finger painting?
