I mean, if you hire someone, just don't expect them to be on time, or come back after the first day or two. They get that $100 and they good for a week or so. PBR pounders are cheap as fuck yo.
There are jobs out there that fit all of this. I hardly consider what I do "work". There are days.... but the ass ain't greener. I don't have to kiss ass, but I do schmooze customers every now and then, but in fun atmospheres. We rarely watch what I say - rare is the day that co-workers don't send internal emails discussing the fine differences between a "goat fuck" and a "rat fuck". We had an employee miss a day-long company meeting due to being taken to the drunk tank - mind you, every employee was in town, including the big boss in Europe. Or completely blitzed in front of customers and tried to drive them around.
I know, I was gonna buy that $500 Chris Dudley game worn jersey on ebay but my bonus didn't come through. was gonna get that, fresh pair of gucci loafers and a macbook. now i have to budget like a little nerd. fuckers.
You had me a free uber. Free uber for the win! But... I wasn't talking about you. You aren't part of the age group I was referring to. I was talking about the group just a few years younger than me (you're a few years older). Shit... I'm happy with my job. I barely consider it work.
I'd be more pissed someone was asking that much for a Dudley jersey. Love Duds, but shit man.... $500? I'll buy a jersey, sweat like mad in it, and sell it to you for 10% above what I paid for it.
Nah, the offers these fuckers get are crazy sometimes like that. The new trend is people switch jobs like every 2 years.
Yeah, I know. They have to throw big dollars to get new hires. You'd think it'd be easier to offer current employees a little extra cash to stay.
You kinda have to leave and go somewhere else if you want a raise these days. That's pretty much what I've heard across the board.
Pretty much. I work for a small company, but they're pretty good about recognizing that it's easier to pay someone what they're asking for than to have to overpay to bring someone new in. It's worked for me up to this point.
I think my fiancee is at the point where she's going to have to move to another place. She has hit a plateau and she's getting bored. There's only a few spots above her and they don't come up very often. I keep telling her it's okay to look around.
